Excerpt: The Motorola Rapture VU30 is a 3G, EV-DO cell phone with a 2.0 MP digital camera/camcorder and a digital player. I was up for a new cell phone and the Verizon salesman pointed this model out to me as being a notch up from my previous model, the RAZR. It looks good and it has some additional features like Bluetooth, EV-DO fast downloads, a micro-SD slot and some entertainment features. I was pleasantly surprised that the phone only cost me $99 with a 2-year contract.
Conclusion: The Motorola Rapture is a tough sell, as it doesn’t quite replace the V9m in terms of construction and voice quality. Still, it is a nice improvement over the W755 in several areas, including the call quality, camera, and appearance. Those looking for a mid-level phone at a modest price should consider the Rapture, as the next step up is the Chocoalte 3 and more expensive Krave.
Pros: Reception, Voice quality, Good 2MP camera, Touch-sensitive buttons
Cons: Plastic construction, Limited music player, WAP browser has problems displaying large HTML sites
