Excerpt: The Motorola Tundra VA76r is a push-to-talk (PTT) cell phone from AT&T, meaning it can be used like an old fashioned walkie-talkie between similarly equipped phones. As befits a PTT phone, the Tundra is designed for heavy-duty use. The durable flip phone is reinforced with rubber, and its stubby external antenna provides very good reception. The Tundra is designed to meet military specifications, and it is resistant to shock, dust, water and extreme temperatures.
Motorola Tundra Cell Phone (AT&T): Made for the Down & Dirty
Personal Electronics buzz

Excerpt: The Motorola Tundra cell phone is my final stop for a work cell phone. I have gone through about seven cell phones in the past couple of years. I am a construction field inspector. I can't tell you how frustrating it has been to drop the phone or get caught in a dust storm and end up having to replace the phone. The Tundra is built for the down and dirty. Drop it, get rained on, get it dirty and it keeps on.
Conclusion: The Tundra provides a surprisingly robust set of communication, workplace and entertainment applications and features for a rugged PTT phone. But even if the Tundra didn’t offer such a wide variety of apps, and even if it didn’t offer 3G connectivity, it’s excellent sound quality alone, especially for PTT, would recommend it.
