Excerpt: The Motorola V551 is not the newest cellphone out there, but it gets the job done. It does not come with any full version games, just a demo of bejeweled. As for ringtones, it does not have a great collection, just default tones like hello motto, and the cingular one. As for themes, it has about 3 themes, the technology theme which looks pretty futuristic, and a green theme, and the default one which is a bit plain.
Replaced Old Phone with Same style...Excellent Phone
11 June 2014
Summary: Older style G3 Flip Phone replaced my older one same model that lasted almost ten years. Old phone still works as a backup but the phone will not accept a charge. Phone is nearly indistructible as it has fallen from a 2 story balcony and suffered only a cosmetic crack in the case. Volume on the speakerphone is sufficiently loud for elderly to hear with hearing aid set to medium volume.
The product is excellent in functioning and appearance
7 May 2013
Summary: I bought the phone for a family member who has been using the same type for long. He did prefer to have the same product. The phone was tested before sending to the person. I like it for the appearance and how it fully functional.
Summary: I use the cell phone in a rural area that gets better reception with the antenna being on the outside of the cell phone. Plus, I use it as a speaker phone, that makes it easy to hear some body talk with noise in the background.
Excerpt: This was the best cell phone I ever owned! Sadly it is now “out of date” and I have since upgraded (to touch screen, full keyboard, upgraded camera, etc.) but if someone comes across one and is not very tech savvy and is just looking for a basic phone to make calls with, grab it!!!! I used this phone for years and overall was a huge fan.
Excerpt: The phone is great because you can mass-text people with writing one message and sending it to as many people as you want. There are "better" versions of motorola that do not do this function. I text frequently and it saves me time. The battery life is short and i have gone through two phones in two years but as you see i am not careful with my phone in regards to protection of its face, buttons, etc.
Excerpt: When I choose a cell phone I use to always look to Motorola to be the most reliable....not the case with the V551. I purchased this phone as an upgrade through what was Cingular at the time now AT&T. Numerous problems started happening the closer the got to the end of the 2-year agreement like the speaker in the phone was starting to go out to where I could hear the person I was calling but they couldn't hear me what so ever and it would drop my calls, of which I never...
Summary: The phone said AT&T when purchase and it works with AT&T, however the Cingular logo and name will not come off, should have returned it soon as it was activated. Not as reliable as I was expecting it to be, being a motorola.
