If you want to get the cheaper phones, this is the one to get.

  • Excerpt: This phone is pretty good if you need cheap plans and cheap phones. So, for instance, if you only use your cell phone for emergencies contacts and not conversations, this is the phone to use. The way to get the cheapest plan is to get the cheapest phone with the company and do basic plan, in which you pay by the minute.

Motorola V220

Justin Webb, REVIEW STREAM
6 December 2006
  • Excerpt: I accepted my contract with CIngular almost two years ago, and the phone I got was the Motorola V220 flip phone. Now, don’t get me wrong, I got this phone through an internet deal, so it was extremely cheap, but perhaps after having it for almost two years I see why it was so. The graphics are sub-par, the front screen breaks easily, the phone doesn’t get very good reception in places like a basement or place where there aren’t a lot of windows, and when put next to...

Phone isnt worth the space it takes

  • Excerpt: The Phone is not worth the investment. It shuts down on its own, loses signals sporadically, and causes way too many headaches. I dont want to financially support the makers of Excedrin, but with this phone I might as well have. Signals are dropped on a whim, stanidng still in the same spot, you will go from a full signal with your provider to a complete loss of one and go onto emergency only or no signal.

Very bad reception

  • Excerpt: Doesn't work in my building. It does work in my workplace, which is a building too, located in Manhattan. So it seems to be a Bronx thing. Still, it SHOULD work in my building. I have to stick my head out the window to talk. Sound is choppy. Camera phone yields bad pictures. I don't recommend this phone.

Serious Bugs and Poor Sound

Alex, Phone Arena
8 December 2004
  • Excerpt: I have had this phone for a just a few days over three months now and I've had nothing but trouble. The phone continually freezes and blacks out. I get dropped calls frequently and 90% of the time I can't hear the person I am talking to. Also the screen is incredibly small and the camera is horrible, even for a phone. I would not recommend this phone, im taking it back for the V551 or anything else. Don't buy this phone!

Motorola's spare part are to rare and expensive

holynano, Ciao
7 March 2010
  • Excerpt: "Okay I didn't think Motorola would do me like this. It hasn't even been a year so I'm hoping my warranty will still do something for me. Okay why am I complaining:for starters that camera doesn't work. I get a blank screen which is black and then the thing just goes out and this isn't the first time I've heard about the phone doing this, my friend had the same problem. At times my phone can't send or receive text messages, so I have to take the sim ...

  • Excerpt: "...i would never buy a motorola again as i don't see them to be overly reliable, and well lets face it who wants an unreliable phone like this? another feature i liked about the mobile phone is the range of colours available; pink, silver or black. i would have preferred this phone if it had bluetooth as i think it's an important feature for a phone these days. ...

Not a nice phone

orange_mo..., Ciao
17 February 2007
  • Excerpt: "...indistinct. Completly horrible. Motorola really need to do better than that. FEATURES ************* ... or lack of. It does not have bluetooth. The camera is worse than useless. My phone could not take videos, although i believe it may have been improved since then. It cannot take voice clips. It does not have infra red. The memory is small. There was a difficult predictive text that you couldn't turn off. There was just nothing good about it.
  • Pros: The size and shape
  • Cons: Everything else :  the screen, the camera, the settup .  .  .

Hello Moto...Goodbye Moto

  • Excerpt: "...agree who has experienced the Motorola V200 that its weaknesses far outweigh its strengths. Bad Points The screen is very small compared to other Motorola mobile phones. I have to have the volume on the highest setting to hear the ringtones when the phone rings in my pocket. The selection of ringtones is poor, and therefore you will have to to download them. I got this phone free with Cingular, and I can now understand why they didnt want anything ...
  • Pros: Camera zoom, Colour Display
  • Cons: Freezes constantly, Scratches easily, Small display, Quiet and undecipherable speakerphone
