The Motorola SPICE is a HSDPA 3.6 Mbps; WCDMA 850/1900 or 850/2100 or 1700/2100; GSM 850/900/1800/1900 mobile phone that features a 3.0” 240x320 QVGA TFT display, supports Android™ 2.1 operating system, EMS, MMS, SMS, Email (POP3/IMAP embedded), IM (Embedded – WVIM), and WebKit with Flash application, AAC, AAC+, MIDI, MP3 and WMAv10 audio; capturing, playing back and streaming videos and has a 3 MP, 8x Digital Zoom and Fixed Focus camera. It is powered by 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM memory, an flash memory supports of up to 32GB via micro SD card slot; connectivity options such as 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0 HS, stereo Bluetooth Class 2, Version 2.0+EDR, WiFi (802.11 b/g) and aGPS location services. It is powered by a 1170 mAh battery that provides users with up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 230 hours of standby time. The Motorola SPICE weighs 145g and measures 97 y 61 x 16.8 z (mm).

The Motorola SPICE is a mobile phone designed in a curvy, rounded form factor with a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch support for text input, pinch-to-zoom and fluid flick navigation that lets users send messages on the fly and connect with all friends while on the go. Supporting Android™, the Motorola SPICE is an environmentally friendly product designed using 25% post consumer recycled plastics. It has the Flashback application, which allows users to view and manage phone communications such as text messages, calls and calendar events from a single application. Flashback also keeps track of call history, messages, calendar events and photos and videos, and maps them to a timeline. The mobile phone also supports a PC-like browsing experience with a full HTML browser, and provides users with the platform to enjoy services like Gmail™ and Gtalk™, and stay on top of the latest social media updates with Facebook and YouTube™ widgets. It also features BACKTRACK™, which is a rear touch panel that lets users navigate and scroll through favorite sites without obstructing the screen. Other features on the Motorola SPICE includes a 3MP camera for capturing and playing back video; a gallery to store and to scroll through photos and videos without access from any PC; an all-in-one music player that includes a music library, FM Radio, song recognition application and Music Store.
