  • Excerpt: i like this phone because it is small (in terms of width)... i also like this phone because it uses memory card... -i use this phone to store my documents... -you can download free games from the net and store it in this phone using the usb cable or the bluetooth -it works just like a flash drive, and it is user friendly... i like this phone because it is somewhat durable... (i always drop this phone and it still works properly) what i don't like in this phone is that...

No iTunes and Poor Reception...Wireless Provider?

Mike Kohler "Tech Junkie", Amazon
4 May 2007
  • Summary: I LOVED this phone, back when I had the Cingular L7. The screen is great, awesome features (If you are OK without iTunes). I bought this unlocked version to replace my lost/stolen Cingular Slivr L7. I had very poor reception with Cingular in the Twin Cities, MN. I still love it, but I have decided I need the reception most of all. Maybe T-Mobile is better with this phone?

Usage: 12 months

  • Summary: I have used this phone from 3/2006 to 3/2007 with a 512MB micro SD card on the Cingular network and here is what I think about the Motorola Slvr L7. Calls - The clarity of incoming calls via the speaker phone is good and people can't tell if I am on speaker phone or not. Video & Photo - This is where I was disappointed. If a video file is over 30 or 40 seconds, the phone will display an error and not play it.

Looks great, but big volume problem

lostarchitect "lostarchitect", Amazon
27 January 2007
  • Summary: Honestly, I really do like my SLVR. It's sleek and it does everything it's supposed to do. But there is one major problem: the iTunes volume control. iTunes has volume settings 0-7, with "0" being silent. The problem is that setting "1" is as loud as my regular ipod turned up to 2/3 of its maximum volume! this is just too loud a lot of the time. I couldn't use it in the office or when I wanted to listen quietly. It's even a little too loud for walking around outside.

Great phone, when it works

dalepres "dalepres", Amazon
27 January 2007
  • Summary: Update - Cingular sent me a replacement for my SLVR. It has the same problems. That's three phones out of three - two for me and one for my daughter - with the same problem. Lockups and intermittent operation. I finally figured out part of the problem. Whenever an attempted voice dial fails, whether it was an intentional dial or an accident of pressing the button by mistake or pressing the headset button too long, then the phone will not make or receive any calls until...
