Summary: I think that the Sidekick 2008 by Sharp is a great phone. My purchase from eBay was fast and easy. The phone came in great unused unopened condition. The phone has some tricks to it that take some time to figure out, but the features on this phone are great to use. I do think the battery life could have been better, although it is satisfied. The fact that you could purchase various shells for your sidekick is a very interesting and entertaining feature to this phone.
Bottom line, if you want to use the Swype keyboard, don't have fat fingers!
15 April 2011
Summary: Just because I gave this only 3 stars out of 5 does not mean it is not a great phone -- just not great for me. My grandkids would love to have this phone. My main issue with this phone is because of my fat fingers, and Arthritis. When I touch the screen I always seem to hit too many keys. Using the Swype keyboard is impossible, thank goodness there is the slide out keyboard. the phone would be much better (for me) if I could use a stylus on the screen.
Summary: Best Touch Phone under $400(with out contract), Fully customizable-easy to use touch screen interface (Android 2.1), has a qwerty slide out keyboard ,has a 5 mega pixel camera with flash which is awesome. The best part is that it has the same processor as the IPHONE 3G which makes the my touch 3g slide SUPER FAST, Big difference in the speed if you upgraded for the t-mobile g1 like I did.
Summary: Its a nice sturdy phone, great for those spending time outdoors. There are, however, couple of minor, and one major issues with it. Minor things first: 1) The battery inside is a bit loose, and rattles when the phone is shaken. An easy fix is to put a piece of folded paper under the cover. 2) Motorola is known for slow releases of updates. Current factory 2.1 rom is not the best for sure. One of the issues is being unable to end the call when the screen is off.
Summary: This phone is average. Voice quality is decent, the touchscreen is on the smaller side, the camera takes pretty good pictures and has a flash. Nothing is remarkable about the physical package. I bought this phone one year ago after being told by a T-Mobile salesperson that it would be upgraded from Android 1.5 to Android 2.0 "soon". "Soon" turned to delay after delay, until finally this year, Motorola said that they would not be upgrading it after all.
Moto DEFY- big screen smartphone in a small footprint!
28 February 2011
Summary: The NEW Moto DEFY - a rugged big screen smartphone in a very small footprint! This an amazing phone: rugged & sealed, impact & water resistance, with a big 3.7" LCD High Resolution Touch screen, all in a light and so small footprint, that you can not believe it, unless you measure it or put it side by side with others...
Summary: This phone is OK. It differs from the CLIQ in that it has no sliding QWERTY keyboard. I thought it did, and thats why I bought it. The on screen keyboard works well enough but I make multiple mistakes while typing. The motoblur is ODD. It alerts me when I get an email, or even when I get an alert on facebook (like an upcoming birthday for example) with an audible tone and I still have not figured out how to select to only get tones for texts, etc.
Summary: I decided to buy the sidekick because I am a huge texter.. Having bought it unlocked, I thought all will be well. I got the phone, and the language was in German..after a couple of days wasting calling credit contacting the seller I was finally able to set it to English. Then came the problem of 48hour authorization which one can override by pressing Menu and L The battery life for this phone is pathetic, It keeps dropping service.
Summary: I've had several different phones and this phone is 1 of the best and easiest to use and navigate. It's small enough and lite to keep in your shirt pocket. The battery lasts very well if you will go to the battery manger in settings and set it to where it don't update the apps constantly. It usually last for me about 8 to 10 hours before needing to be charged. Keeps me updated on E mail,Weather and Facebook.
Summary: I wanted to try an android phone but was really nervous about buying one so i did anyway i like the touch screen the camera wifi surfing the web with this phone it has an excellent web browser crisp clear pictures but the bad thing about this phone is the battery life its really lame it needs to charge every 3 hours and i hate a phone that needs constent charging it gets on your nerves really!!!!!
