Summary: This phone is just okay. It will play music fine, Bluetooth is good, speakers are good (loud), and the camera is just ok. However, YOU CANNOT listen to music without a SIM card. Period. Without a SIM card the phone is useless except for making emergency calls - how dumb is that for a phone that touts itself as a phone designed for music.
Summary: After having this phone for over a year now I've developed a love/hate relationship with it. Love the sleek look and the way the soft-buttons change to suit whether the phone is recording, playing music or taking pictures... It's a lot like a touch panel on the Enterprise from Star Trek and more then once people have said it looks like something from the future.
Summary: The call quality onthis phone is good and it's made to last. I've already dropped it twice and had no problems. The only thing is that the phone develops a lag of two or three seconds when opening an app or entering text, so if you are looking for a phone to Text with look someplace else
Summary: Dont expect the product to be from MOTO. It says some AECOM or some XXXXXXX company.except for the front Logo "M" i dont c Motorola name anywhere. The look is maintained, thats all u need with these phones, cos u r not gonna use this as a smartphone. Camera Sucks. Speakers are loud enough.
Excerpt: I have been using this phone from past 5 months and started hating motorola more then ever, I usally like the motorola phones for their build quality. First of all, this phone is large to hold in the hands, also it gives only talk time of 3 hours, and 4 hours of continous music listening.
Pros: 3.5mm jack, music playback, good build quality, call quality
Cons: camera, landscape screen, morphing keypad (I don't find any use of it), lagging os., response is slow
Excerpt: Had this phone for 3 months. I love music player and radio, too. I didn't buy it for T-Mpobile so I had to call in and get T-Zones and pictures messaging. Hearing was very clear on calls. I love the 3.5 head jack on the top of the phone, I could use my own skull candy head phones. It was very very very slow...
Pros: Love the music player.... Love the 3.5 head jack... Love scroll wheel on it... Love the features... Love the 2.0 megapixel camera, could be better... Love the 2GB in the phone... Put a 4GB card in it... Love the bluetooth... Looks like an Ipod nano, but bigger... Love the lock on the side of the phone...
Cons: Very slow phone... No keyboard... Ok battery time... Love the update for it... Had low memory on text messages, don't know how much it could hold...
Summary: I enjoyed my E2 so much that I wanted to keep with the same brand. However, there were minor changes with this one that makes me miss the E2. One big difference is when you are on camera mode there is no easy way to switch to video mode like in the E2. On the E2, the memory card storage was on the side for easy removal and inserting of the memory card. On the E8, you must take the back off to remove and insert the memory card. E2 had flash, E8 doesnt.
Summary: This cell phone looks great. The display is very bright and colorful. The 2Gb of memory is good enough if you enjoy music and the 2mega pixel camera is ok. I would give 5 stars to this phone if wasn't because of one major problem: It's incredible slow. It takes so much time to execute many single tasks like searching your phone list for example.
