Summary: The connectivity of Motorola Z10 can be done through USB or Bluetooth. it can also handle speed downloads. Through the 3G network the cell phone can connect with the help of EDGE at nearly 236.8 kbps. The 3G network that offers HSDPA also lets you download nearly 3.6 Mbps through your home broadband. There is an opera web browser supplied including total HTML mobile support and it can also perfectly handle emails.
Conclusion: Motorola's upped its game with the Z10. While it's not the killer device we were hoping it would be, it's still a user-friendly smartphone with some decent features.
Pros: The glory days of the RAZR must seem so long ago now for Motorola, but the Z10 is a step in the right direction. We were happy to see the back of the horrific Day-Glo edging from last year's Z8. Gone too is Motorola's famously bad user interface (finally!) and in its place is the user-friendly Symbian UIQ operating system. 3G downloads and web browsing is super-fast thanks to HSDPA, while we found the built-in Video Editor useful for perfecting movie clips.
Cons: Although the 3.2-megapixel camera is a huge step up from the weedy two-megapixel camera featured on the Z8, it's still not quite up there with the best five-megapixel snapper phones from Nokia and Sony Ericsson. And while it's not as garish as some of Motorola's recent offerings, it's nowhere near the style granddaddy of mobile phones - the RAZR.
Review: Motorola Z10 - Part 4 - Listening to the Music
All About Symbian
25 July 2009
Summary: Presented as a multimedia phone, the Motorola Z10 has a lot to live up to, as music on mobiles has changed rapidly over the last year or so. Simply having a player is now no longer enough, as my time with the Z10 music suite shows.
Review: Motorola Z10 - Part 5 - Camera and Conclusion
All About Symbian

Summary: Following on from Ewan's first four review parts, listed below, here's the final part - from me, covering camera functions and performance, as well as an overall verdict on the device. Motorola Z10 - Part 4 - Listening to the Music Motorola Z10 - Part 3 - Going Online Motorola Z10 - Part 2 - The PIM Suite Motorola Z10 - Part 1 - Design, Form and Function
Summary: While we loved the movie making aspect of the Motorola Z10 we can't help but feel it's a gimmick that most smartphone users will tire of easily (not that we're fickle at PCA or anything). Otherwise this is a sleek and feature-rich phone.
Excerpt: I'm well aware that anger should be kept out of video reviews, and mostly contained in pillow-screaming, but you're going to have to let me have the Z10 - probably one of the most frustrating phones ever to hit the market. In other news, it has lots of video editing software on it. I'm not sure why you would, but you can get one here.
