Conclusion: In conclusion, the Motorola PRO+ could have been a good entry-level business-oriented device if it wasn't for the poor performance of its browser, but other than that, there is little for us to complain about. We find itvery suitable for people who simply prefer physical keyboards over virtual ones; people who like texting and spend a lot of time chatting with their buddies online.
Pros: Sharp-looking display, Good physical QWERTY keyboard, Good in-call quality
Cons: Poor browser performance, Camera could be better
Conclusion: If you are looking for a phone with a physical keyboard and the touchscreen, I would highly recommend the Blackberry Bold 9900 or the HTC Cha Cha which are both phones with better keyboards.
Conclusion: A niche device like the Motorola Pro+ might seem an odd direction for the company to take, but it's worth remembering that enterprise is still a huge potential market. Business users will appreciate the Pro+'s excellent keyboard, solid construction and - when it's not remotely disabled - decent camera, while their IT department will be able to sleep soundly with the various security extras baked in.
Motorola Pro+ – small improvements over the first model make it a perfect business phone
12 September 2011
Conclusion: The Pro+ was just announced, and it is unknown when it will be released, but seeing as it’s only a redesign it should be out pretty quickly, most likely by the end of the year. If you needed an alternative to your Blackberry or just want a phone that will work fine and will actually be useful for work, the Motorola Pro+ can be an excellent choice.
Summary: I’ve had really high expectations towards Motorola Pro+ as I genuinely believed it to be the very first E71-a-like, Android-powered, decent handset and a fair replacement for my Desire Z. In fact, I was considering buying Pro+ straight away. Thankfully, I’ve had the opportunity to take it for a test drive first. This saved me £281.99 (at the time of writing at Handtec)… unfortunately my expectations weren’t exactly met.
