I love phones with the physical keyboard

Russell Lechner, Amazon
15 July 2014
  • Summary: I love phones with the physical keyboard. However, when it comes to this one I'm very disappointed. I had my first one for about 2 months and the screen went out, got the replacement, and less then 4 months later the screen will work when it wants to. When it does work like it should, its an amazing phone. I love the large screen, and keyboard.

Phone is Great, Sprint service Horrible in my area.

betterforeign, Amazon
17 June 2014
  • Summary: This has the nicest Keyboard for a phone Ive used. Almost a full Windows keyboard. Phone is fast for being a couple years old. Unfortunately Sprint has HORRIBLE service in my area, so I cannot actually use it for calling unless I move south. If anyone knows how to unlock these please let me know.

Not Quite New

GLENN L., Newegg
8 June 2014
  • Summary: In spite of the cons and the keyboard backlight problem, I really do like this phone, and you tube has some really great videos on how to change the battery when the time comes. They even have links to the tools at a very reasonable price. All in all, I am pleased with this phone, and would use Newegg again for another purchase.
  • Pros: 1. Beautiful 5 row qwerty slider keyboard! Maybe the best in the industry. This is important to me because I am a disabled American veteran and have trouble typing on a touchscreen.
  • Cons: 1. This is a used phone, not a new one. Newegg's add didn't say it was previously owned. It should have.

WILL die if you take advantage of smartphone features.

Jamie Skinner "Skinn", Amazon
2 June 2014
  • Summary: I have 4 PhotonQ phones..and two of them flat out died, never dropped or abused. no reason for them to do this. the first time, it got really hot and then the dea d robot guy. Last night I had a movie on Netflix playing and it just died..black screen of death. Great phone..if you JUST use as phone...I think anything too complex (apps!) kill these pbones. My kids phones still work..but they dont take advantage of all it can do. they just text and call.

Good qwerty keyboard but duplicated characters

Igor Kaplan, Amazon
29 April 2014
  • Summary: I was looking for the phone with qwerty keyboard and Motorola Photon q 4g has a very nice keyboard, probably the best among all phone keyboards I have used. There is a one little problem which was the show stopper for me. The keyboard outputs duplicated characters very often. When I press the letter key, the keyboard outputs 2 or more same characters. I am not sure, if this is the problem with hardware or with Android 4.1.2 which this phone has,.

A few minor hardware and network issues worth noting...otherwise a good phone.

Emile Mulder, Amazon
31 March 2014
  • Summary: The phone came as promised, when promised. It was in new condition (still had plastic on it, still in box and everything, no scratches anywhere). Regarding this phone specifically, I like it for the physical keyboard, and if that's important to you and you're on Sprint, then there's really no choice. The physical keyboard itself is comfortable and the phone is fast enough for my needs.
