Summary: I love the keyboard. That is the only reason I bought it. My fingers are not good with touch screens. The phone is a little outdated compared to the droid 4 on Verizon but the price is better. Sprint should really have more options for phones with slider or physical keyboards.
Summary: Ok i tested the phone and every thing was ok ,now i came to test the ear phone only one channel is working , every thing else is running smoothly ,today 5/19/2014 the device was fully charched and it suddenly went black ,I tried to restart it no way ,maybe it is battery problem still dont know , I will check but for most of the other things like call ,video, wifi ,camera, bluetooth , every thing is great i tested all features my self ,every thing is running good .
Excerpt: Already replaced the unit once - about ready to again. So disappointed with the performance of the Photon. Hard reset needed at least once a day, soft up to 3 times daily. Apps fail or lock often. Sad.
Summary: Would not purchase again. This Droid is just that, a droid that doesn't work half the time. Have had phone replaced twice within months of each other. Have spent at least 5 to 6 hours at the Sprint store and then not having a phone for 1 or 2 days each time. New phone, not 3 months old, replaced with rebuilt and now it is the same thing again. Absolutely not the phone for reliability!
Pros: Great sound quality, picture and camera. Easy to use.
Cons: Issues, issues, issues. Emails wouldn't connect, phone wouldn't pick up calls, wouldn't ring, wouldn't receive calls, unable to hear anything without an earpiece, ringtone drops to a low sound even on high.
Summary: I have only had this phone for about 4 months. This phone spends most of its time being VERY gently used, & carried in a shirt pocket or in my hand, I found that the glass does scratch & I found the "Gorilla Glass" with a slight crack.
Pros: Love the phone; speed & ease of use;don't mind size & weight, tho'it might be an issue for some. Camera is great for our needs. Quick photos,on the run,to document what was seen.(visual notes), Replaced an HTC Hero I had for 2 years with NO issues
Cons: Gorilla Glass does not seem to all it is 'Cracked' up to be.
Cons: Problem with dropped calls volume issues when people call or leave messages static and poor connection sounds like I am talking in a tunnel of howmost of the time...really bummed I had great expectations
Summary: I do like certain features about this phone. But I prefer photon q which has the ice-cream sandwich OS, an unlockable bootloader provided by Motorola site, a media share feature in setting, and lastly I like the keyboard. This photon 4g is a decent phone as well. If you don't mind the older gingerbread software and looking for a good sturdy phone.
Excerpt: I have owned allot of Cell phones, since the dawn of cellular, and the advancements of technology and features are mind blowing. With that in mind it is also mind blowing when any manufacturer creates a new standard setting device and somewhere in the process the company manages to blow it due to a lack of forethought or just not paying attention. I am referring of course to the kickstand.
