Motorola MOTOLUXE Review: In Depth
13 July 2012
Conclusion: What you end up with in the Motorola MOTOLUXE therefore is a well-built smartphone for the masses. It doesn’t have the power or speed that higher-end devices have and the camera UI is a bit of a disaster, but when looking at the direct competition - the Orange Monte Carlo (ZTE Skate), with the MOTOLUXE's better screen, better camera and better build, despite a few glaring shortcomings Motorola's offering is definitely our preferred choice.
Pros: Large, sharp screen, Great build quality, Handy widgets
Cons: Convoluted camera UI, Terrible flash, Laggy performance
Excerpt: If you want a smartphone from a company that has a substantial amount of geek cred and a little bit of fashion sense, look no further than good old Moto and its fairly attractive Motorola Motoluxe . This monolithic Android handset ships with a 4-inch 480x854 touchscreen display, an 8MP autofocus camera, a 1,390mAh battery, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
Excerpt: Hot on the heels of the RAZR comes the mid-range Motorola Motoluxe, which still packs a few surprising features considering the price. Julian Prokaza finds out if it’s as cheerful as it is cheap.
