Do not buy Boost Mobile version if you want to use it as a Hotspot!

Anthony, Amazon
24 May 2014
  • Summary: I agree with everyone when I say that this is a great phone. I am not going to repeat what has already been said. This is more of a warning notice instead. I have no complaints about the phone itself, except that i wish i had known that Boost Mobile disables the HotSpot feature. So please be careful, if you do plan on using the phone as a HotSpot for any reason, then you will need to go through a different company than Boost Mobile.

Don't buy Motorola phones, especially the Moto G because they force an update and will not switch it back.

nikkigroc, Phone Arena

  • Excerpt: This phone overall would have gotten a better rating from me if it didnt force me to apply an update that changed the whole layout of the phone. Don't buy Motorola phones, especially the Moto G because they force an update and will not switch it back.
  • Cons: They force you to accept their updates that change the layout and cannot downgrade back to the previous version

16 May 2014
  • Summary: Everything's great so I'm going to just focus on the CONS. The menu's and how each page can be edit is NO WHERE near like a Samsung or most other smart phone. Guess that's why it's under $100. -BATTERY IS NON-REMOVABLE -BUILT IN ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -NO memory card slot. Phone only has 8GB. -You cannot slide left/right on a contact to text/call them. -You cannot delete certain phone #'s in the call log. Clear all or nothing.

Check UK version is delivered, it should say XT1032 on the box.

Tezza, Amazon

  • Summary: The phone delivered to me (supplied by UK PHOTO, fulfilled by Amazon) was not the one described, i.e. Motorola XT1032 with USB data/charging cable, Instructions and warranty leaflet; it was what I believe is called the 'International version', XT1033, dual sim with a travel charger and no warranty leaflet that I could recognise. I think this version is aimed mainly at the Asian market.

  • Excerpt: moto g no doubt its a gr8 product. but SAR values are on higher side almost 2-3 times higher than other mobiles like samsung, sony, htc etc. after updating to kitkat battery drains quickly. hope motorola gives a bug fix to this at an early.
