A Fun, Basic Model

victorias..., Ciao
5 August 2010
  • Excerpt: This was the first mobile phone that I owned, and at the time I was concerned less by the features it offered and more by the vivid skin (my phone's was blue) that enveloped it. This was fortunate, as said features were minimal and the bulk of the model did little to counterbalance this deficiency...
  • Pros: Fun removable skin, durable
  • Cons: Limited features, poor reception

  • Excerpt: The Motorola M3888 is perhaps not the lightest phone in the world, but it still reamins one of the best budget phones on the market. SIZE This phone is now around 1 year old and so is slightly heavier than many newer phones around, however the phone received some bad public image, while Magazines...

  • Excerpt: Hi, I bought this phone from a Virgin mega Store. It is the most reliable and elegant little phone that I have had the pleasure of owning. I can't tell you how many times I have dropped this phone, and not once has it threatened to go belly up on me.

A very good, simple and easy to use phone

  • Excerpt: So this phone (that doesn't look like the one above which is the 3588) is not the smallest phone in the world and not does it have snake and all the other things you get on a Nokia. It is however low power so doesn't give you a headache like all the nokia's I have used (5110 & 6110).
  • Pros: Simple, reliable, robust and easy to use .
  • Cons: A tool not a fashion accessory, quite heavy .

  • Excerpt: I bought this product in March 2000 because it was cheap and I like the look of the phone and also the network (BT Cellnet). I have found this product very good and very reliable. I also like Motorola's customer care service as it is very quick and helpful.
  • Pros: Price and support

  • Excerpt: I bought this phone through the Virgin network for a measly £39.99 (plus a £12.50 service pack which includes £10 of free calls anyway). I was pleasantly surprised, the phone has a bulky appearence but is hardly weighty and is quite easy to carry around.

Overall opinion

  • Excerpt: I think the M3888 is the perfect phone for someone who has just decided to get one, otherwise I think this phone is dreadful. The keypad numbers start to wear down after very little use and the cost of replacement is very high, there are very few features and this phone is maybe only for the person...
  • Pros: simple, quick to understand
  • Cons: huge, ugly, very few features
