Excerpt: Hello all and welcome to my review of this Motorola M3788e. This was my very first mobile phone that I got when I was aged about 12. I spied it in an Orange store window and loved it. It was available in 2 colours...black and coconut. I desperately wanted the coconut one as it looked nicer. I few weeks went by and I eventually built up the courage to ask my parents if I could get it for my birthday which was a month away.
Excerpt: This phone was my first phone and I got it very cheap (£29.99) The phone is a good phone for first time users. There are shortcut menus which you can assign to your own menus if you dont like the ones already set. 1. Call Voicemail Here you can dial your answer phone when you have voicemail messages 2. Divert Voice Call Dibverty Incoming calls to your answer phone or a different phone number. (On pay as you go you can only divert to your answerphone) 3.
Excerpt: I have had this phone for about 5 years now and replaced an old Nortel unit which was one of the first "pay as you go" phones then available. I chose this phone because I still had a lot of credit on my account and this phone accepted the smart chip from the Nortel. The ony problem was that I had to cut it down to the correct size to fit as the Nortel was a complete credit card sized chip which had no facility for cutting the chip away.
Excerpt: This opinion is about the motorola m3788. A BRICK!! this is one of the oldest phones on the market and is not sold in many places due to its age. Over 3 years since it came out wow! Ok so some of the features; PHONE BOOK- Capacity- unusual to phones of this age this phone actualy has a 100 name and number memory which is great it is old but not past it. personal numbers- thi is were you can search through your name and numbers saved in your phone book.
Excerpt: This was the first mobile i ever had and i would say it is probably still the best. I say that not for its looks or features of which it has little of either, but its build quality and durability. Of all the phones i have owned (Ericsson A2618s, Nokia 3310 and sony CMD-C1) my Motorola "brick" has outlasted all and has been relied on again and again when my others have been sent back to the makers for repairs, of which this one has had none.
Pros: easy to use, good for a starter mobile, excellent durability
Cons: lack of features, has become very dated compared with new phones
Excerpt: I don’t at this minute own a Motorola M3788e but have owned one in the past 6 months and my father has also owned one for nearly 2 years. My father and I both originally bought ours to keep in the glove compartment of the car in case of emergencies. I bought mine in Argos for an acceptable £29.99. Value for money. ***** 5 star used/ **** 4 star new. This phone can now not be bought on the pay as you go service from any major phone shops with ease.
Excerpt: Excitement city everyone, here is my first foray into the world of electronics opinions! I'm a student. Money is hard to come by, and even harder to pry away from the pubs, so, unlike many of my friends, mobile phones are not massively high on my list of priorities. Long have I been chided for having a less than stylish, less than exciting phone, but, never being one to go for style over content, I care not.
Pros: Good for people on a budget; simple to use; easy to navigate menu system .
Cons: Not really very stylish; no fancy ringtones or fascias; won't impress any prospective females !
Excerpt: I have had my new phone since Christmas day and have been happy up to now.I have had numerous phones and lost in total 5 new mobile phones!. I dont know why i first thought of this phone appearing on my x-mas list to santa, proberley the price!. I have owned 1 other Motorola phone called the timeport (which i lost) and i was completley satisfied with it.
Excerpt: Last christmas guess what my Dad got me for christmas, a mobile...of all things... For some reason my dad thinks I need a mobile, the real thing is...I don't. I send the occasional message or call the occasional person but I'm not really a heavy user of it. The phone serves all my purposes. It is able to: phone people, store names and numbers, send/receive text messgaes, roam internationally(even at those extortionate prices!
Pros: Good basic functionality, no voucher expiry, good standby time
Cons: No games and you can't download new ringtones or pictures
Excerpt: (When I originally wrote this opinion I wrote about the wrong thing and I have only just noticed now as I was going through my opinions what the problem was with this one. I wrote about the service provider my contract was with and not the actual handset so I have edited it.) I brought a contract and received a free motorola M3788 on one 2 one pay as you go. I hated the handset. It was too big and bulky and was very very basic.
Cons: too big, too basic, difficult to follow the menus, cannot reply to a text like on nokia, you have to actually type in the number
