2nd Time's the Charm

Frederic S., Newegg
27 July 2009
  • Summary: This is the 2nd Motorola L6 for me. The first one didn't work out of the box, and a big kudos for Newegg for giving me an RMA and sending me this one, which has worked well. If you get this on sale, then it is definitely worth it.
  • Pros: It does seem strong and sturdy as mentioned in previous reviews. It's a bit thicker than my previous phone, a Motorola F3, but it still fits in a pants pocket easily. Although it is an older phone, it still looks sleek and stylish. The buttons are responsive. The battery life is surprisingly grea...
  • Cons: One slight cosmetic defect is a very slight opening between the battery cover and the phone along the sides. I read about this in an online review, and it was very noticeable with my first L6, but with this 2nd L6, it's barely noticeable, but it is there, just doesn't bother me. The only other co...

Great phone

Amit G., Newegg
15 July 2009
  • Summary: If you want a reliable, sturdy, thin and light phone this is hard to beat.
  • Pros: This is a great simple phone which is well built, thin and very light. The specifications are actually wrong as the phone weighs only 2.8 ounces (not 3.3 as listed). I have L7 as well and this is a little lighter than that which is important to me as dont like to carry heavy stuff in pockets. Ver...
  • Cons: Does not have much multimedia capabilities but you would not be buying this phone if you wanted those.

Wow...

Scott T., Newegg
25 June 2009
  • Summary: I am surprised and also glad at the same time they still sell this. If you have a child you wish to give a cell phone to, well, let it be this one, because they could play hacky sack with it and it'll be fine (I know, because I did....boredom does wonders). You'd be surprised at it's durability.
  • Pros: This phone is indestructible. Anything, even water, won't stop it from working. Most of the phone is metal and isn't really scratched easily. A drop from waist height onto cement will do absolutely nothing to it. It's taken two years of neglect and abuse from me which includes dropping it on conc...
  • Cons: It's newer cousin the L7, is actually quite a little daisy unfortunately... Motorola probably saw how this phone never broke and realized they'd lose money if their phones were as indestructible as this one ;] Had an L7 that couldn't even take 1% of the punishment and abuse the L6 did and had to ...

I Love my L6

moyaroo, Phone Scoop
15 August 2006
  • Excerpt: I love my L6. My old phone was a Motorola V505 and though good, was bulky. I bought this because of the low profile, slip it in the pocket and no bulge, cool. What I didn't realize was that I would like the features that Motorola finally got around to, like picture id in addition to distinctive ring...
