Great phone but 3 out of 5 I've owned had screens to "blackout" eventually
11 April 2013
Summary: This is my favorite phone. Easy to use. Fits perfectly into my back pocket. The only problem I have with this type of phone is that I have had 3 different ones to have the screen to "black-out" on me. They still made sounds but the screens would start to flicker for a week or so and eventually went totally black so I couldn't use them anymore. It might be from me carrying them in my back pocket even tho I never sat on them or it could just be the phones themselves.
Excerpt: i've had a lot of cell phones over the years and i liked this one the best. that's why i was so disappointed when not one, but two died on me in less than five months. i got this phone for my birthday at the end of december 2010. by february, it had already died. just plain died. wouldn't turn on, wouldn't do anything. took it to the AT$T store where they tested it and said it needed to be replaced. the warranty still was good.
Summary: This is a good phone. The battery life doesn't last as long as advertised probably because i'm texting all day. It lasts about 2 days with ~100 texts sent and maybe 20 minutes of talk time. Not bad. It's a goofy shape, but I like it. I'm not going to lose it anytime soon because it's heavy and large and I know if it's in my pocket. Great call quality. Good, fast texting abilities. good organization.
Summary: I decided to buy this phone because I was looking for a phone with a physical keyboard that is not a smartphone. This phone fills both of those criteria. The keyboard is responsive, and the keys, while small (which is to be expected with a portrait keyboard) feel sufficiently "clicky" so that you can type mostly on tactile feedback alone.
Excerpt: Pros: - Pretty good reception in NYC and DC Metro areas, as well as Western WV - Easy to text with keyboard - Robust OS; no crashes - Vibrant screen - Great battery life (4ish hours of talk time and 70 texts over a day brings it down to 1/2 charge; will still play MP3s for a few hours before giving a low battery warning) - Compact form factor - Micro USB charge port & micro SD card storage - 3.5mm headphone jack - Semi-rubberized back makes it easy to grip - LED flash...
Summary: My #1 priority in picking a phone was sound quality. This has the Motorola Crystal Talk technology. It really is outstanding. As for everything else, it works fine, but I am admittedly not as discriminating a user as some may be. I'm an old guy with big thumbs. I can navigate the keyboard fine. The Bluetooth seems to chew up the battery charge, although maybe it's the Bluetoothing and the surfing simultaneously that chew up the charge.
Summary: I purchased this phone about a month ago and I am very pleased. I had a slide phone before so I am used to that. The battery lasts a long time and I have gotten used to the size...I say that it is a girl's phone...it is about the size of a compact! HA HA Reception is good and very pleased with the functions and quality! Thank you!
Summary: This is a great texting phone. The keypad is easy to use. The sound during calls is very clear. The controls are easy to use and easy to learn. It is probably not the best phone for net surfing. I like the sound of music with good quality ear buds. It is sturdy and reliable. The Karma fits your hand well. The screen is bright and the images are of good quality. It has dropped some calls when traveling and the coverage is spotty.
