Summary: I had bought the phone as a cheap back up phone. It was the first refurburished phone I had purchased. It seemed to be a good solid simple phone at first but after using the Motorola e815 for a couple of weeks I was in the middle of a call and the signal disappeared. At first I thought something had happened to the signal itself but I checked on other cell phones and they had full signal. Since then the signal will be strong and then goes to no bars.
Summary: After having this phone over the 14 day return period,it started running the battery down.I have another one of these phones that I have been using several years. It was new old stock when I bought it and after dropping it several times I broke the housing where the antenna goes.I took the battery out of this one and my new phone ran this battery down. The phone gets real hot when this occurs, like it is shorting out.My current purchase is a refurb.I won't be doing this...
Summary: I have an E815 phone and I love everything about it. I wanted a new one and could not order it from my phone service. This phone looks like and functions like an E815. Except it is a cheap imitation. There is Chinese writing on the inside of the phone where the battery is housed. The battery has the same type of writing on it. The volume button will not work the center button on the key board will not work, you need this button to access your menus.
Summary: Thought I would save some cash and buy a used motorola e815, Bad idea !!!! Purchased it from a reputable outfit with a 14 day warranty. Well 15 days after arrival, phone no good !!! We all take our chances buying used electronic equipment....Oh well.... I'm glad they discontinued this model, I see why !!!! I do love eBay !!
