Satisfactory

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 March 2014
  • Summary: I was only looking for a phone to make it through the next year of my contract after I broke my Galaxy S3. I ordered this phone new and it certainly did not come new. When I turned on the phone it did not automatically bring me to the easy set up.

Loving this phone

TammyE "Tammy E. Meyers", Amazon
20 February 2014
  • Summary: It took a bit of time to receive this phone but it was worth the wait. I was using a regular Droid before I got this, which made the transition easy for me. I love all the apps I can use and the 4g is sooo much faster. The battery life is great!

Don't buy; doesn't work

g28kathy, CNET
9 December 2013
  • Summary: I bought the Droid Maxx for my business. After about 2 weeks of use, clients told me the phone was fading in and out. Then last Friday night the brand-new phone stopped working altogether for no apparent reason. Every time I tried restarting it, it returned to "setup" and froze.
  • Pros: Good battery
  • Cons: Stopped functioning after 3 weeks

A decent pick, but unreliable data usage services.

lrnz13, CNET
16 November 2013
  • Summary: This is my first smartphone. I don't utilize the technology to it's fullest potential, nor do I have a million apps that use a lot of data.
  • Pros: - Large screen with good resolution, - 5 customizable "home" screens a swipe away, - Apparent battery longevity, - Video recorder with decent screen resolution upon play-back., - Call quality, - Sturdy in build
  • Cons: BIGGEST con (-1.5 stars): Unreliable connection to the internet/4G,& apps that require it. Even if I'm in an area of full coverage, apps/navigation freezes,& the internet availability acts like dial-up. Don't even try it in airports!, - Camera qual

  • Summary: This phone is great! Works just as well as the brand new one that caught my fall. I'm not sure why I ever buy new phones with contract upgrades, this was cheaper!

Like all things Motorola, it is vastly overrated

deaconhound, Phone Arena
29 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Got this phone as a replacement for my last Motorola clunker, and it is only a slight improvement. First, as with all things Verizon, it is LOADED with bloatware. When I cut it on in the AM, sometimes it takes as long as 5 min to get my emails up because it is busy downloading updates for apps I...
