Awesome... except for the camera

  • Excerpt: great 4G phone with amazing battery. display is also great (not sure why the hype about HD resolution - I cannot tell the difference side-by-side between the S3 and this phone - I even think the iPhone screen with its "retina" display looks somewhat washed out compared to this phone)
  • Pros: battery and most everything except the camera
  • Cons: camera is worse than the original droid

  • Excerpt: I love this phone. Battery is the best of any phone I ever had. I don't think I have ever run the battery down. Reception is great. I traded it my nexus galaxy for this phone and love it.
  • Pros: battery, reception, call quality
  • Cons: Can't use it overseas!

Exchanged my Samsung Galaxy NEXUS for the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX

  • Excerpt: The DROID RAZR MAXX also has the Following Cool Features. When unlocking the Screen, the Choice to Turn the Ringer Sound Off is Given Right Away by Sliding a Virtual Button, (this is great for meetings or for Church). And the Telephone has a very beautiful Dark Blue fading to a Lighter Royal Blue while calling, with my Photo's Displayed in the Right Proportion, (they were too big and distorted on the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung).
  • Pros: Capable of having 48 GB of Memory, (64 GB would be best, but this is better than the 32 GB Limitation over most other Cell Phones), The Battery Life is Exceptional, (21-22 hours, so there no need for a 2nd Battery, or a second Battery Charger ~ saves Money)., 8.0 MegaPixel Camera, takes Quality Photo's and Video's at HD+(1080p) 30 fps, {WideScreen Photo's Change to 6 MexaPixels}., Nice Color most Everywhere, (on the Calculator, on the Cell Pad Dialer)... this is plain...
  • Cons: The Opening Screen Slide Lock is a Lack-Luster Dull Gray, (can DownLoad "Go Locker" APP, but "Go Locker" Takes over everything., Their is no Capability to see the History on the Calculator, (but, I might be wrong and just haven't found it, as I can Clear the History). Also no Percent Key on the Calculator., No Memo Pad, (I liked the one on the Samsung Galaxy S). However, many Memo Pads can be DownLoaded at the "Play Store", including ones that you can use your finger ...

Droid RAZR MAXX - I turn iPhone users with this device

  • Excerpt: I could not be happier with this phone. I have converted several iPhoners to Android by showing off the simplicity and functionality of Android. I also successfully convinced my company to deploy Droids to the staff in replacement of BBs.

  • Excerpt: My wife and i have had 7 of these phones in the 14 day window. they keep locking up with a black screen ! verizon is now telling me it is a problem to take up with Motorola! Motorola is telling me that the brand new phone needs to be sent in for repair!!!! 700$ three weeks ago and a number of phones later I'm not happy. Motorola knows this is a problem because they tried to fix with the software update in early Feb.

  • Excerpt: Let me start off by saying I really wanted to love this phone. I've had them all and after reading dozens of reviews I bought one at full price. That's how much I wanted this thing. But after 48 hours with it I will be returning it and going back to my LG Spectrum. Here's how I see it: PROS: -great battery life -good UI and features -design -speed CONS: -connectivity hit and miss -screen resolution is mediocre -camera is sub par -voice calls just so-so -power and volume...

  • Excerpt: I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with this phone. I purchased a Galaxy nexus the day it came out and was very disappointed with the signal strength. While I am not going to sit here and knock that phone, I will say that this thing is Way better. The only thing it had better was the screen and ICS.

  • Excerpt: I recently got this phone and it is an amazing phone with very fast response time. I was worried about the battery life but it is much better than the HTC phones I previously owned. Pros 1. Good battery life 2. Very fast and responsive 3. Looks great Cons 1. Price 2. Sometimes the sound quality of calls is not good Also I am not able to find a good case for this phone. I tried this case but it is not what I want. Can anyone recommend a good case?

The best so far..the problem of battery life solved!

RichardM, Phone Scoop
10 June 2012
  • Excerpt: For battery life alone, this phone stands ahead of all the rest. You can use all the wonderful features without fear of running out of battery. And still, the phone is slim and light. ALL Androids (and Iphones) should be required to have such a long lasting battery. I wouldn't buy another phone without such a battery. I used to have to charge my phone every night, and in my car. Now, I can go days without charging--and no need ever in car. Now--how about everything else?

Real Issues with the RAZR maxx

dro1215, Phone Scoop
10 June 2012
  • Excerpt: OK...Just got it and yes, this phone is sweet. Especially the way the screen shuts off like an old school T.V. set. Everybody is ranting and raving about the battery life, the truth is with mine, with extremely heavy internet and talking i only get about 12 hours before the battery hits 25%. Another MAJOR problem is that the on/off button is located on the side right above the volume button and if you hit that button during a call it automatically ends the call.
