"Awful doesn't begin to describe it."
Pros: - Battery life (once you disable some built-in apps) - Screen contrast
Cons: - Glitchy - Volume is awful if not rooted - Vibrate mode is beyond weak - Built-in apps suck (both to use and power) - Camera's very fickle - doesn't focus very well or quickly - Screen calibration
Summary: I bought the phone because I knew that the bootloader was unlockable at the time. I didn't have a problem with the original software, but the custom roms are great. The battery life makes this phone very worth it.
Cons: Everything else- phone is consistently freezing up- kicking me off the internet- restarting (rebooting) itself. This is my second phone after they replaced the first one due to same issues. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY MOTOROLA
Excerpt: Hi Purplefish, Download the Swiftkey app. I love it and find it easier now than a physical keyboard. Also, download the K-9 app for your email. I have a pop email account and the K-9 handles it beautifully. I don't use the factory email. I've had the phone since the launch (almost a year) and still absolutely love it!
Excerpt: This was my first non-BlackBerry smartphone, and I have to say it took some getting used to, however I now am fairly pleased with this phone. I love the screen, and battery life is phenomenal. I no longer have to bring a charger (or spare battery as I did with BlackBerrys) along with me. The phone has excellent hardware, but the software is now having some hiccups. So much so that my email deleted itself and Verizon replaced my phone for free.
Cons: My experience: A totally unpredictable, unreliable phone that powers off on its own frequently, requiring a soft reboot to restart. Also get a "black screen" frequently. Common apps stop working & must be uninstalled/reinstalled. Frustrating!
