Keyboard Smartphone that works
Ivan Lowe, Amazon
4 September 2014
Summary: Smart people do NOT use Smart phones because they are easily lost or stolen. I use a simple phone that I am prepared to lose, keep the phone numbers list small and regularly make a copy by hand. A computer engineer once watched me try to set up and use a Kindle.
Summary: I purchased this phone on the 4th of September 2012 via Amazon Warehouse Deals. The product arrived promptly as described and was everything I could have wished for; a Blackberry QWERTY form factor with android usability and a touchscreen to boot! But it was all downhill after that.
Summary: this phone is a brilliant phone when it works, i have had 2 of these now and both of them have broke within the first few weeks of use. Maybe i was just unlucky and 2 in a thousand of these would break but unfortunately both times the screen just went completely black and would not work which leads...
Summary: I only got this 5 days ago, but it is already my favorite phone i've ever had, everything works seamlessly, the internet's quick to load and there's no lag, unless you get a bad signal which happens to even the most expensive of phones from time to time.
Summary: The phone arrived promptly from Amazon and I updated the Android firmware as soon as I had it charged up. It's running 2.3.6 and the as-delivered Motoblur skin; I haven't yet rooted the phone or tried alternative launchers.
Summary: I have had a bad experience with this phone. The first showed dust was getting behind the screen after just two days. Amazon replaced the phone. The second soon after upgrading to the latest firmware would freeze sometimes when the camera was selected.
Summary: I own the fantastic Motorola Q9h - a QWERTY phone running on Windows Mobile 6 Standard. With Microsoft ceasing support for this OS, it was time for me to go Android. It's funny that when you go QWERTY, anything else just won't do.
Summary: If you want a phone with a keyboard that is smart, forget BlackBerry, this is the phone for you. It has a couple of software bugs, but with all the extra functionality this phone gives compared to other phones with a keyboard, you just won't care :)
Summary: I like phones with physical keyboard. I used to have the bb torch and a samsung galaxy s. Both good phones but each one with its cons so instead of having two phones i found this one that has both things i like a keyboard and a touch "large" screen (for a phone with keyboard).
