  • Conclusion: The Motorola Droid 3 for Verizon Wireless aims to be a top-notch business smartphone, but it's stuck in the Internet's slow lane.
  • Pros: Gorgeous screen. Long battery life. Works worldwide. Sharp 8-megapixel camera. Five-row keyboard.
  • Cons: No LTE. Android skin slows things down. HD video playback trouble. Some bugs.

Motorola Droid 3

LAPTOP Magazine
25 July 2011
  • Summary: If you're on Verizon and want a phone with a physical keyboard, the Motorola Droid 3 is your best bet as of this writing, because of its sharp screen, powerful processor, and large keyboard. However, if you're not particular about getting a phone with a keyboard, we strongly recommend that you spend a little bit more on a 4G LTE phone such as the HTC Thunderbolt, which provides more than four times the data speeds.
  • Pros: Vibrant high-res screen, Large keyboard with dedicated number row, Powerful processor, Sharp camera and 1080p camcorder
  • Cons: No 4G support, Unattractive interface, No bundled video chat software
