Come the day after Labor Day, when the Droid X becomes re-available, Droid droolers will have to decide between two $200 Droids: the Droid X with its 4.3-inch screen, 24GB memory and HD video recording, and the Droid 2, with its physical keyboard and long battery life. Unless you absolutely refuse to use a touch-screen keyboard, the Droid X is by far the more advanced Droid. Read more

The new Droid 2 is certainly an improvement over the original Droid in several areas. The keyboard has had a much needed re-design, gone is the directional pad to make room for larger keys that are easier to type on. The faster CPU just makes the entire experience that much better really. The Droid 2 is certainly a worthy successor and worth the upgrade if you currently have the original Droid. Read more

Long ago, in the not too far distant past, there was a handset released which was able to defy the odds and bring the Android platform into stardom – thus being graced with the prestigious title of Time Magazine's gadget of the year. The Motorola DROID was nearly a full head-on gamble for the one time dominant company in the mobile industry, but it appeared that they didn't require luck due to the fact that the DROID was such a big hit among consumers. Is this a good product? Does it shut down for no reason? Is it slow? I don't know what those people had for phones, but never with my droid did I experience any of that! The only problem with my droid was that it was to large for me. Yes it fits in my palm of my hand, but it is harder to handle and carry around...but it's so worth it! Read more or see product

I very rarely have little to say in the way of negatives but I do struggle with this one. The Milestone 2 is simply the best phone I've ever owned (although admittedly my previous phones haven't been spectacular by anyone's standards). It's running the solid Android OS with a reliable camera and simply excellent keyboard. Even sliding the thing up still provides a sense of tactile satisfaction. It's also been very scratch resistant. Read more
