Summary: Checked to make sure the phone would work in our area. The card was put on phone and website said it was active but had to call tech support and they said it would not pick up a signal and we would have to return the phone and purchase something else. Fortunately our Wal-mart store did return it minus the 1.29 item fee because the computer would not let them do that. Pretty disappointed that we had so much trouble.
Summary: I love the phone itself, but the one I received was not properly refurbished. The only way that I have been able to talk on the phone was by using speaker. :/ I do love the features of the phone though.
Summary: Delevery took time but thats ok. The Phone display however didnt last even 16 days. Without even any type of handling(its just used as a secondary phone so mostly in the drawer), the display (top right near the battery display icon) happend to get a blue ink spread like coloration spanning 1cm diameter. I simply dont understand how it just could go defective in an area and that too not being used 99.5% of the time.
Summary: If this was 2011, I'd say maybe. If you spent a lot of time in the dust and wet, I'd say maybe But its old, old technology. Don't use this as a starter phone as it is much harder to use than up to date phones. We had this phone for a week, did sessions to get it up and running, but decided to send it back. Despite my son's exhortations to get an Android, we got a Nokia 521 as a starter smartphone for my wife.
Summary: This is supposed to be a waterproof model of phone. It was shipped without a cover for the earphone jack. When seller asked me to talk to them be for giving feedback. I mentioned this to them. Their response was "the item was not advertised as waterproof". So don't go by manufactures description of items these guys sell. Apparently you can only go by what they say in advertising. Also I can only access internet through wifi, not cell phone.
Lord help the sucker who buys this phone looking for a good deal

Summary: This device is built like a small brick...it also performs like one. Firstly, my device often restarts of its own accord...when I'm lucky. When I'm not lucky, I get to see its processes slowly freeze to a halt, and I have to give it a battery enema to restart it back to its halting glory. It takes, hmmm, FOREVER to do anything with this phone.
Summary: The phone has good features, runs decently enough, no complaints about anything except... reception. There is only one place in my house where this phone works, and this week I learned that when the sky is very cloudy/foggy, even that one spot doesn't work. We do not live in a rural area, and we are just minutes away from the interstate. Even so, this phone reception is terrible. Calls are always dropping, or sometimes they cannot even be made.
Summary: I was excited about this phone and it's durability. Everyone once in their lives drops or damages their phone so I took advantage of the pricing and obtained this one. When I run Netflix, Pandora, or any other media apps (1 at a time, I didn't run multiple apps) it tends to slow down significantly and sometimes requires a restart. Also, drains the battery.
Pros: Got the phone as an upgrade for $30 from Newegg. Exterior is sturdy and durable. Dropped several times in the last 2 years since upgrade. Easy to assemble/disassemble and access to SIM card and SD card.
Cons: Sluggish often. Ran 2 apps at one time and phone responds very slowly. Sometimes freezes up and I have to pull the battery out in order to reboot/restart my phone. Battery dies within a 8-10 hour period even while I have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS off. Dies within a 4 hour period if any of these are activated or running.
