Summary: "worst phon e ive ever had, keeps freezing, connects to the net and calls people at random. The glass is scratched really badley. the swipe function is iffy, ive beenunable to answer calls as it wont swipe. Absolute rubbish.
Cons: -Terrible operating system -Screen cracked after a single 18 inch drop -Phone is cluttered is apps that you can't get rid of -dialer button stopped working after 3 months -motoblur account required
Summary: I bought this as a water resistant smart phone. I have the Casio G zOne to compare it to. This has none of the O-ring seals of the Casio, and none of the plugs to seal the charging port, headphone port, etc. I returned the one I purchased.
Cons: Had to be sent back due to "blue tick" coverage issues. Had to be sent back a second time because you could only hear a call when it was on loudspeaker! (Old ladies at shops really loved that) Has developed hazy blue line permanently in the screen
returned due to earpiece did not work, documented problem
1 March 2013
Summary: I'm rating this phone low because when it arrived, the earpiece did not work. Had to make calls using speakerphone. Quick online search indicated that the Defy has had ongoing problems with the earpiece. Promptly returned the phone so am unaware of any other aspects/features this phone may offer.
Summary: Don't bother with the Defy. It simply defy's what it claims! Its not so waterproof, or dustproof, it is not tough enough to servive much although it is bulky. It can get wet but not be submerged. But the problem with this phone is that the system software is tooOo sluggish and contantly freezes. VERY FRUSTRATING PHONE.
