Motorola Defy XT (Republic Wireless)

PC Magazine
22 December 2012
  • Conclusion: Republic Wireless has an exciting service plan concept, but needs a better phone with more integrated services.
  • Pros: Only $19 per month for unlimited use. Makes phone calls over Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
  • Cons: Slow phone. Can't transition between cellular and Wi-Fi on a single call. So-so call quality.

Motorola Defy XT (Republic Wireless) Review

LAPTOP Magazine
20 December 2012
  • Summary: The Motorola Defy XT and the Republic Wireless network that supports it are a classic case of "you get what you pay for." For $19 a month, you get a basic Android phone running on an old-time 3G network that can't send or receive MMS messages. While Republic Wireless' concept is disruptive, the fact that you can't seamlessly transfer from Wi-Fi to 3G and vice versa limits this service's usefulness. We also found the 3G calling quality to be much better than over Wi-Fi.

Motorola Defy XT (U.S. Cellular)

PC Magazine
5 October 2012
  • Conclusion: The water-resistant, dustproof Motorola Defy XT for U.S. Cellular is good for a trip to the beach, but is otherwise best left on the shelf.
  • Pros: Water-resistant and dustproof. Comfortable size.
  • Cons: Old version of Android. No 4G. Short battery life. Strange paneling effect on display. Mediocre media playback.

Motorola's Defy XT isn't afraid of dust, scratches, or drenching rain

CNET
17 August 2011
  • Summary: The Motorola Defy XT doesn't fear dust and water, but lacks the strength to power through smartphone tasks with speed.
  • Pros: The Motorola Defy XT 's attractive and compact chassis hides its rugged, dust- and water-resistant construction. At $99.99, it's also affordable.
  • Cons: Held back by an outdated processor, the Defy XT is slow, runs on 3G only, and has an unimpressive camera.

Motorola Defy Review: In Depth

Recombu
30 June 2011
  • Conclusion: The Motorola Defy is a resilient touchscreen phone with a great camera and access to the Android Market’s store of apps. However the slow performance detracts from the web browsing and social networking experience - something to consider if you want to read websites and check Facebook on the go.

Motorola Defy

MobileTechReview.com
18 November 2010
  • Conclusion: For $99, the Motorola Defy is easy to recommend if you need a water resistant, dust resistant Android phone that doesn't lack in specs or looks. The large, high resolution display is sharp and performance is good thanks to the 800MHz CPU. Yes, it runs Android OS 2.1 rather than Froyo, but that's neither rare nor a deal breaker unless you're a serious Android enthusiast who must have the latest OS.
  • Pros: High res display, rugged yet stylish.
  • Cons: Motoblur software still not our cup of tea.

Motorola Defy Mini review: A rugged Android smartphone for under $200, but still overpriced.

Good Gear Guide.au
19 August 2011
  • Summary: Motorola positions the water resistant, dust-proof Defy Mini as a budget smartphone with a twist, but poor performance and a mediocre user experience actually make it overpriced. The Defy Mini has good battery life and its water resistant casing can definitely handle the elements, but there are far better smartphones out there at this price.
  • Pros: Water resistant, Some handy widgets, Good battery life
  • Cons: Sluggish general performance, Poor user experience, Overpriced

Motorola Defy

pcworld.pl
6 September 2011
  • Conclusion: Motorola Defy jest smartfonem oryginalnym i wyjątkowym.
