Summary: Right off the bat, phone looked nice. Turned it on, the phone was fried. Kept resetting & turning on & off. Couldn't use it at all. I would turn it on & after about 30 seconds it shut off & turn back on & none of the keys would work. Absolute piece of crap. The phones are NOT new. The guy gets them from some 2nd rate business in bulk. Also, doesn't test them to make sure that they turn on & work for at least 5 minutes.
Summary: I bought phone so I could tether the internet from my phone to my lap top, works perfectly. I figured out how to use the phone with out user guide so I guess you could say it's easy to use. I love the phone it's great!
Excerpt: After having at least four cell phones in my lifetime, I have to say this one is the most difficult to use. Instructions aren't very clear, and, for the price, I have to say it's less than desirable. I've had Motorola phones in the past, and I never had a problem with them.
Excerpt: I have had the cliq xt for 7 months now. I love my phone. It takes awesome pictures and video it is easy to use and was very easy to set up. It's connected with motoblur which is great for people who do a lot of social networking. Plenty of storage and loud speaker for playing music. It is set up with the android market which has thousands of great apps. The swype text makes text messaging much faster once you get used to it.
The Motorola Cliq gets lost in the hype of the iphone and the BB
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The Motorola Cliq is up in the upper tier of PDA devices, but gets lost in the shuffle because of the overhyped iPhone and BlackBerry, I have used both and the Cliq is better than both, it has most of the apps of the iPhone and has the same features on the touch screen, but the iphone lacks a keyboard, which the Cliq has in addition to the on screen texting. The droid is the only phone with a advantage on the cliq because of the bigger screen.
Excerpt: The cliq xt works fine, however it is stuck on android version 1.5 and will not be upgraded. Also the on/off button being on the side of the phone was not a good place for the button as it would sometimes turn itself on accidentally.
Excerpt: My husband and I got our Cliq XTs when we were eligible for an upgrade and thought we'd jump on the touch-screen Web-friendly smart phone bandwagon. We were pretty excited about the phones... they're integrated with Facebook and Gmail, so you have all of your social contacts at your fingertips, and the apps that are available are pretty fun, especially being new to the whole smartphone game.
