Summary: Got my Cliq 2 MB611 w/CyanogenMod operating system instead of the standard android. Although it doesn't have the "blur" feature, it keeps up with fbook postings very nicely and various email accounts, inet, maps, gps, etc. Google CyanogenMod to see what I mean ... I could've gotten the original android OS like I have on my Cliq XT, but wanted to see what alternatives can do. Pleased with both the hardware and software on this mod.
Summary: I have Cricket for my cellular provider and have used a few mobile phones so I believe I can make an educated Overall Rating. I replaced an HTC 6800 because its browser really sucked. Granted since it was like 3 years old and since I flashed the phone I do not know if I could have updated the software. It could not link to the Sprint Network.!!! Now to pick this phone apart calling Balls and Strikes: Con: The Microsoft Word on it sucks beyond belief in my opinion.
Summary: This phone is very fast and smooth to work with. It has a large screen and beautiful display wallpaper images. The picture quality is a bit too sharp for my taste but this isn't too bad. I'd prefer a 2.0 megapixel. I don't like the automatic flash on the XT version. The phone doesn't take much to get used to the functionally.
Summary: As said, I'm pretty satisfied using this as my first smart phone. It lets me check my gmail, take pictures, set multiple alarms, go online, set up my google calendar, and get access to the android market. The physical keyboard is also a huge plus because I have no texting skills on a dialer. I don't really want all the social network feeds, so I could turn those off, leaving only the news feed (like newspaper kinda news).
Summary: Only reason this review did not give the phone an excellent is because of the old Google 1.5 OS that is installed and no current updates are being released as promised by Tmobile. The phone is a Masterpiece. If you love the convenience of a full keyboard, along with a touch screen, that is also a slide phone, which by the way is very sturdy, I would recommend this phone to just about anyone.
Summary: I now have 3 Cliqs in my household. Keeping the camera lens clean is the biggest drawback. Freezing while typing emails or texts happens often, but the current T-Mobile Android 2.1 update should resolve these issues. The Wi-Fi performance is outstanding and Moto Blur seamlessly blends all of your social networking information. Phone is just the right size and weight. If using all of the features, keep a spare battery handy and car charger.
Summary: i purchased this phone to replace a damaged google my touch. i chose this phone because of the actual keyboard and the android operating system. the biggest difference is that the google phone is an htc phone and the cliq a motorola. this phone is more than the my touch it replaced. the functionality is greater, it's faster, it does more intuitively, the interface is easier, it's a better phone, but this phone is heavier and physically bigger. it' s heavy in your pocket.
Summary: I enjoy cell phones and have had a number of different models. I currently use the galaxy s samsung vibrant. the motorola is a small but impressive phone. the capabilities are outstanding and the layout is easy to use if you are comfortable with android phones. screen size is adequate and so is resolution. i was overall very pleased with this product. keyboard is an added bonus.
Summary: This is a good phone, its has a very solid feel to it and does not appear to be cheaply made as most people state. It has a very responsive touch screen and 5 customizable pages which offers endless possibilities to what apps and programs you want and which order you want them in. Its app world has more than enough apps to satisfy even the most avid phone user. The camera and call quality are great.
