Decent entry level phone

ch8ngo, CNET
6 August 2013
  • Summary: I hooked this up to Page Plus, which runs on the Verizon network. This was the lowest price point I could get with the provider for data/web access. It works better than expected. It definitely is a downgrade from my Samsung Galaxy II but I'm not an intensive mobile web user and don't need to be checking in or posting status updates on FB constantly. That being said, the screen is on the smaller side, the touchscreen feels clunky and not as refined.
  • Pros: fits in my pocket, good for quick web access
  • Cons: touchscreen is a little clunky compared to smarter smart phones, not able to transfer contacts from SD card onto phone, not able to move apps to SD card to free up limited phone storage capacity, screen is not as vibrant as higher end phones

Requires data plan

Wing To, Amazon
22 February 2012
  • Summary: Verizon requires all "Advanced" phone to have a data plan. You can technically get a Prepaid data plan but that's still $75 a month with voice + data. I don't know of a way around here. Other mobile carrier does not require this.

Decent value if you have to purchase a phone without a contract renewal!

novanut66, Ebay
9 July 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this phone, due to the price. My Droid died, I needed a replacement and was not due for an upgrade. After having my second Android phone, I've discovered that Android itself has some corks. The phone is basically easy to use, I like the size. (A little smaller than my old Droid) I would recommend getting a protective cover or glove for it.

Not at all as good as my last phone

Deanna Ocampo, Amazon
15 December 2010
  • Summary: I bought this phone straight from verizonwireless. I thought that this phone would be better than my last smart phone. But after having it for a year I'm ready to get rid of it. Screen does not always recognize its being touched. Can't get it to answer when someone is calling. Or it will freeze for a minute and it won't do anything. Sometimes can't get games to load or they load but slowly.
