It's the best there is. only because they don't carry any better.

angerbender, Phone Arena

  • Excerpt: Number pad is good. Feels good and is laid out well. battery sucked, but extended capacity battery lives long. same VZW GUI, which i don't like. But it has Motorola intelligent texting. camera needs auto focus and flash. SPeaker is nice and loud. And I've taken hundreds of underwater pics in the pool.

"Reliable telephone service...always!"

toadfun, CNET
20 February 2012
  • Pros: Well made. Great reception. Can be laundered while turned on, taken out of the wash and still used (that was a year ago).
  • Cons: People mock my phone, but that is a larger narcissistic and nihilistic sociological problem of America...not a problem with the phone itself.

"Don't buy this as a used Verizon phone."

kenrneal, CNET
13 December 2011
  • Pros: Good weather resistant rugged phone. I have only had this a few days and can't add much to what others have said.
  • Cons: I have been unable to stop or remove Verizon's Backup Assistant. Other Version phones have a options menu that allows you to stop and then remove Backup Assistant, this phone does not. It cannot be removed with FLASHING it or RESTORE.

"Excellent Rugged No-Frills Phone"

ccrider77, CNET
10 June 2011
  • Pros: Extremely rugged construction, yes - it is waterproof, shock resistant, good call quality, decent camera, good price, when charged correctly, the battery lasts a long time (10-14 days), however the battery does not respond well to short or quick charging.
  • Cons: Buttons are harder to press than most phones, music player requires a Rhapsody account, bulky, cover flips shut too easily when answering calls, lack of an integrated belt clip.

Barrage is good... if you know the tips.

Anonomous, Phone Arena
12 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Good for moderately rough use. Has a nice rubberized grip around the edge. Tip: an SD card is optional; but if you do add an SD card it will use a lot of battery power. Tip: before, during, and especially after locking the battery cover, the cover must be pressed down all around the edges to get the gasket to seal. Tip: download the app to backup your contacts online.
