  • Excerpt: The Trium Geo is considered by many to be an old phone. It is large and has an aerial which can be extended during use.It has limited ringtones, and does not have interchangeable facias......but it is a phone! This is not a toy. It is functional. The buttons are a convient size....and the software is absolutely brilliant. I have used Nokia, Siemens, and Erricson, and the Trium is by far the easiest to use.

  • Excerpt: All my friends and family were getting fed up of being diverted straight to my BT answer phone when calling my house. This is due to me being on the Internet all day everyday. I think the time had come for me to get myself a mobile. I wanted something cheap and I most certainly wanted pay as you go. That way, when I run out of money near the end of the month I knew I wouldn’t be able to continue to drum up hefty phone bills.

The Trium Geo - The one for Me-o

  • Excerpt: "I first used my Trium mobile phone several years back when I received it as a gift at christmas. It came as part of a pay and go package which included £5 worth of free call time, plus £2.50 extra if you set up your voicemail within a certain period of time. I was jolly pleased with the phone, even though I hadn't really got a clue what to expect. Here is a breakdown of some of its features: Text Messaging: Most mobile phones these days can ...

Better than the last one

  • Excerpt: "I guess that the world does have a sense of poetic justice after all. Just a couple of weeks after my glowing op on my old motorola phone, which I described as being really robust, despite taking a sub-aquaitc trip in the sink, the bloody thing decides to just give up the ghost whilst sitting in my pocket. Don't ask me, I don't get it either. Anyway, luckily I was in possession of a newly hard-earned student loan check, but even so, my frugality ...
  • Pros: Easy to use, better than any of my old phones !  pleasing to the eye, good reception and battery life .
  • Cons: Not the prettiest, funkiest or sexiest mobile around .

  • Excerpt: "...hefty phone bills. I spotted the Mitsubishi Trium in PC World; this must have been over a year ago when this type of phone had just come out. It was £49.99, which I thought, was a decent price and so I bought it. Since buying this phone, the price has really dropped and at one point, if you spent £50 or more at Tesco you could get your hands on one of these for just a tenner! Although the phone itself isn’t as cool as the Nokia phones ...
  • Pros: It's cheap and has all features you could need .
  • Cons: No logo messaging or downloadable ringtones .

  • Excerpt: I have a trium geo wap - I quite like it and the specs seem fine to me. The only thing that I don't like is that BT Cellnet seem to have changed a few things in comparrison to the user guide from Mitsubishi (example removed the games). Although ring tone changes are not currently available I am told that they will be soon - time will tell. On a good note, visiting http://www.trium.net/company.asp?

  • Excerpt: ...coz I've been carrying a brick around for months. This is honestly one of the worst phones I've had the misfortune to use. Frankly, it's ugly, it looks like something your baby daughter just made with lego, it has an ugly arial which pops out like a big floppy pointy stick, and the flip down front panel is trying to be Matrix, but ends up as being pathetic.

  • Excerpt: "...icon on it!) In short, Mitsubishi could have had a real winner as the phone itself does exactly what it should, whic is a shame as it could have done so much more ...
  • Pros: WAP access good, E - mail alerts via Genie, vibrate alert
  • Cons: too heavy/bulky, poor signal strength, can't download ringtones

  • Excerpt: Well, I had this phone for a while and I thought that it was absolute rubbish. Afterreading everybody elses opinions....they all seem to think that it is great and worth buying.....although it only cost me £30, it was a waste of perfectly good money. That could of been spent on something worthwhile....like oranges or pears.... As you can see, I was not impressed with the phone.......the simcard was the worst problem....simcard not recognised....check sim..

Phone Home, How

Bigbaz, Ciao
7 May 2001
  • Excerpt: "I bought this phone 6 months ago mainly because I wanted internet access. It was a replacement for a Philips phone which had served me well for quite a long time. I was attracted by the price of £29.99 and the BT pay as you go scheme. Internet access was from the start at the best haphazard and the small display panel didn’t help as in anything less than sunlight it became difficult to read, there was of course the back light but this led ...
  • Pros: Cheap
  • Cons: Cannot buy accessories .  Totally useless
