Summary: I rarely use a cell phone and was only looking for one to have as an emergency, this one works for that purpose, but I would prefer accessing my contacts be a bit easier. I have to go through too many steps.
Excerpt: First of all I am upset that we horribly overpaid for these phones from Verizon Wireless. Overall it is a decent phone, does not drop calls, voices are pretty clear. The calendar is a little more work to use than some other phones I have owned. The camera is decent, but does not autosave the picture, so you do need to quickly save it. My main complaint with this phone is the buttons on the sides.
Excerpt: This cell phone is a really solid product. Good battery life, relatively solid (average) reception, and durable. The LG Accolade has not given me any significant problems whatsoever so far. Of course, these cell phones lack any kind of special feature, advanced function, or any particularly great quality. If you want a standard cell phone that does its job reliably and effectively, without any fancy-dancy hassles or expense, this product is for you.
Summary: I got the VX5600 because I wanted a simple phone with a flip cover that was relatively small and durable. I've been happy with the phone except for one problem - the camera button. If the camera button on the right side of the phone is pressed for a couple of seconds it causes the phone to take a picture.
Summary: I will only use this for 911 emergency calls and the time. So, I have no idea how hard it may be to decifer the rest of the manual. The problem was that the instructions call the buttons by different names than the illustration and the button name itself. Instead of using Power/Off for the on/off button, it would have been clearer if the on/off logo of a circle with a vertical line partway through it had been used.
Summary: First off, since I feel obligated to point out the good things about the phone, I feel that it's good for what it's supposed to be: a basic phone. I don't use it for internet or anything, just for phone calls and texting. Texting is where the problems arise. Obviously, there's no keyboard and so you must text using the number pad. I'm not even saying this is a bad thing either, I obviously knew that's how I'd have to text when I bought the phone.
Summary: On a positive note, this phone is for sure a sturdy device. I am not interested in "Smart"phones so this is perfect for someone that likes to use a phone for what it is intended: make phone calls/texts. However, the text feature can be annoying. I am quite a fast texter and the phone cannot keep up with my fingers. Often I have to press "clear" and go back to retype letters, especially when it is a letter that requires more than one key press.
Pros: Light weigh and does what a cell phone should. the ophone has one problem i found so far. Charging whrn turned off.
Cons: If phone is off and charging battery, when the battery is full charge turns on and blue screen with wording, searching for service. won't work till turned off and back on. I have had two phones that does this.
