Excerpt: this phone was very nice for texting, i send thousands of texts a month and never have a problem with it. the only problem i ever experienced with the phone was when i was sending or taking a picture and receive a text message the phone would turn off and i would lose the picture. the phone was great for everything else, talking on the phone was great very clear. speaker phone on the phone worked great. the phones very small and didn't get in the way often.
Excerpt: I am not entirely crazy about this phone. My provider was bought out and we had no choice, but to switch to this phone. It has some nice features, but it makes you go through too many steps to set anything up. It is always difficult to find some features. The battery life is quite limited as well. I would have to say that for a phone that I paid nothing for, it is just ok.... if I could upgrade, I would.
Excerpt: I've only been using this phone for about 10 months now. I have not had any major problems with it. I do not surf the web on it, so I'm not much help there. But it works fine for texting and I get good reception. I can hear fine with the handset, speakerphone, or a headset. But then, I'm not really picky about sound quality. It has a VGA camera that takes pictures good enough to post online, but wouldn't print well.
Excerpt: I recently got the Verizon LG LG VX5500 phone. It was free as part of my renewal and I had heard good reviews about it so decided to try it out. I don't use my phone for too much crazy stuff, mainly just calls and texting occassionally. At first this phone did what I needed it to do. I was able to make calls/ text just fine. After some time had passed (about 6 months) I started having problems with the phone.
Excerpt: i had this phone for a year! its indistructable ive dropped it down stairs, in the tub full of water, and to hell and back.... It was a great basic cheap 30$ phone.. You get what u pay for right? It has a big keypad, pretty nice features for 30 bucks....
Summary: I thought i was going to get a touch screen phone come to find out that it was one of them LG VX55OO phone. But its ok cause it work just fine.It just cann't change the ring off my alarm clock. But everything else work just fine.
Excerpt: And lastly settings and tools, to view the limited amount of gadgets you have on the phone. Overall the phone is decent for a phone many get for free with a plan. My main complaints were the speakers, the plainness of the exterior design and the camera. If you are looking for a functional phone, this a great bet. Verizon ’s service is very good, and the phone is fairly durable if dropped.
Cons: a weird calendar event kept popping up- titled YYYYYYY, starting 4/13/13653 ending inn 6273.....when you try to deleted or change it it disappears. so when it popped i went to verison and got a new phone. new phone does the same thing. annoying!
Pros: Small size and easy to use. Screen is bright and clear.
Cons: Bought two in 01/09. After only 6 weeks the battery life in one dropped to 24 hours. Verizon store in Tucson claimed this was the NORMAL standby time. Took a lot of talking to get a new battery under warranty. Published standby time is 440 hours.
