Excerpt: This phone is ok. I have owned this phone for nearly 6 months, and it does do all that can be expected from the capabilities it has, but, although minimal, this phone does tend to be a little slow at responding at times, but that is minimal and does not happen very much at all. The only issue I have really had with this phone is the battery life. The battery life of this phone is the worst of any phone I have ever had.
If it didn't have the problem that it did, I might still be using it.

Summary: This phone is pretty cool with the way the phone screen opens and closes. It texts just fine. But i had to send it back because it had a virus or something and every time i would try to make a call the phone would shut down. Due to the fact that i bought it off of ebay, no cell phone places around would try to fix it for me. The whole process of buying it, activating it, have it not work, and then sending it back was kind of a pain.
Summary: i like the design and buttons are nice, i dislike that none of the applications work... and that the battery dies really fast while in calls and if i have keypad lights on for 5 secs and a minor disappointment that there is no brightness control. i bought it because i broke my razor(piece of crap why would you make a phone so bad...
Summary: Since the LG VX9400 came out in mid 2007 I've always wanted one. I even switched cell carriers to get one, only to find out it was no longer offered. Then watching the first IRON MAN movie when they showed it just fueled my fire. I have been using the VX9400 for one month now and I am no longer impressed. Despite its bold good looks, having the directional pad BELOW the keypad is cumbersome to use.
Excerpt: I have had the lg vx9400 for 2 weeks now. And I have to say the battery only last about 4 hours if I'm not using it! Scratches just appear on the screan, for just being touched! Also, when ever I swivel up I get a scratch on the numbers! The anttenia does not help! It makes you lose service. I would not reccommend this phone!
Pros: sleek design,, good call quality.
Cons: Bad service,, easily scratches,, dies fast .
Excerpt: Ive had the phone for a few weeks now and whenever I would use the speaker phone I would get this loud playback sound almost like what a fax machine sounds like. Anytime something got near where you speak into it made this awful sound that could be heard on both ends. I took it to the store to get it fixed and all they did was give me a new one. When i tested it before leaving the store it did the same thing.
Excerpt: I recently Upgraded from my lg 8300 to the LG 9400. It didn't take long to get used to the upper placement of the keypad. the sound and picture/tv quality are great. The phone is easily handled. Looks good. Big screen. Now for the down side. I had to return the phone 3x in 2 weeks. Each time they gave me a brand new one as a replacement. The phone has intermittent Blue Tooth issues. It doenst like to Digit dial with the Bluetooth.
Excerpt: We were up for our new after 2 upgrade from Verizon, presently using the LG 6100. After checking out the phones for the deal and quality we chose the LG 9400. After 2 weeks both phones were replaced, one for poor recept. and one for defective battery. Poor signal and dropping calls in areas that in the past were not really difficult. Both phones seem to have poor reception in the extended area from Verizon. Battery life in these areas is poor. Nothing like the specs.
Excerpt: I bought this phone as an "upgrade" to my LG VX7000. I returned it after 4 weeks because some of the phone's problems bugged me too much. Cons: 1. When the battery is low, the phone dies with no warning. Twice in 2 days I was in the middle of a conversation when the phone went silent, vibrated against my ear, and shut off. You couldn't even get 1 more minute of talk time to turn it back on and call someone back to explain your phone was dead.
Excerpt: Tried two separate devices, two different software versions and had the same result....no battery life what-so-ever. Minneapolis user with previous VZW phone LG VX8300. Comparing the 2 phones the 8300 with 20 minutes talk time plus 30+ txt messages per day would last 3-4 days prior to needing a charge. The 9400 would last no more than 1.5 days. The specs list 19 days of stand-by and 4 hours of talk time.
