Summary: The phone itself was nice but I couldn't believe the trouble I went through to get it activated. The service was so poor that I couldn't activate it at home. I had to go to a Verizon store and even then I couldn't get enough signal to make phone calls without dropping. I looked at my dad's phone, a Verizon phone, and it had an excellent signal, full bars. Then I looked at the LG VX8700 sitting right next to my dad's phone and it was searching for service.
Summary: I previously owned this product, but it was stolen, and wanted to get it again now that the mobile tv service had finally come to my coverage area. However, the call quality was not very good, my spouse said she couldn't hear me very well on her end and many times my end would drop in and out of reception.
Summary: I decided to get the LG VX8700 because I had the RAZR previously, and wanted another slim phone. After having it about two months, I'm looking for another phone. Here's my reasons why I have decided against using it: Design - Appealing with the brushed metal finish, and the mirror that appears when the front screen goes blank. It's almost to "slippery" though, very easy to drop. Definitely want to get a case for it. Slim, easy to fit in pockets & purses.
