Excerpt: I really like this phone a lot. Besides having a cell phone it's also like having an ipod! The only bad thing about this phone is that after a few months the navigation wheel stops rolling; and, it has happened more than once.
Excerpt: This phone would be perfect for simple cell phone/internet use if the phone would charge properly. I have gone through three cell phone chargers in the pass few months before realizing that it is the phone itself that doesn't charge properly. Other than that this phone would be great!
Excerpt: I really enjoy this phone but one major draw back it how sensitive it is if you move the navigation wheel you lose everything thing that you were just doing. It is really cute and fun with a great speaker phone.
Excerpt: This is a nice phone, don't get me wrong, a few things I don't like about it - the screen on the front automatically locks(nice feature for the most part) but in order to see what time it is without opening your phone is a pain. It takes a few seconds or you have to unlock it. It is also hard to tell which part is the top and the bottom of the phone when you go to open it - especially in the dark.
Excerpt: I had this phone for almost a year and it had charging issues. I lost all my contacts and could not retrieve them with backup assistant. I suggest anyone with this phone back it up before it has problems and charge it at home rather than with the car charger. It had a great camera so save the phone for photos if you upgrade to a better phone.
Excerpt: This review is for the LG Blue Mint Chocolate cell phone. The number one thing that I do not like about this phone is that when talking in a car, it sounds like you are in a wind tunnel. There seems to be a lot of background noise. I also find that the phone is "very touchy". For instance, my husband found that he was connected to the internet (even though we don't use this feature) because the phone was touched the right way while in his pocket.
Excerpt: All I want in a cell phone is a phone--plus voicemail, texting, caller ID, and a contacts list. The LG VX 8550 'Chocolate' phone gives me what I want. It's relatively easy to use, has good sound quality, good reception, and is not overly large. After two years it still works well, and even though I can replace it now and get a sizable rebate, I have decided to hang onto my LG VG 8550.
Excerpt: The LG Chocolate is an average phone at best. When I first got the phone I was pretty excited with what the phone was capable of doing and was pleased....at first. While I do like the click wheel (short of like the old Ipod's wheel) it quickly began not to work and became a hassle to try and navagate around the phone's options. Also you have to slide the phone up to make and answer calls and it has started to become unresponsive and I'm stuck having to slide the...
Excerpt: The LG vs8550 aka chocolate 2. I've since moved on , had it a few years ago, late 2007, but it can still be purchased on the cheap used. It followed the original chocolate, has music playing capability that I liked, and loaded up with mp3s with a mechanical scroll wheel. Nice small cameraphone that is thin and slides out, very easy fits comfortably in the pocket. Has a glossy finish.
It's a good phone for the money but I'd rather have the envy!

Excerpt: I have had the chocolate for about 4 months now and I like the phone but I do have some issues with it. I love that it doubles as an mp3 player and the sound is great. I hate that it chips so easily, it is so incredibly sensative, and it is a bit akward to control. I find it to be a very sleek and cool looking phone I just wish that it wasn't so sensative. I hate being on the phone and all the sudden my ear bumps the touch sensative buttons.
