Summary: IT WOULD HAVE TO SPIT OUT $20 BILLS TO RATE IT A 5 STAR. IT'S FASTER THAN MY MOTOROLA A855 AND DOESN'T FREEZE UP THEREFORE I DON'T HAVE TO REBOOT IT CONSTANTLY. VERY LITTLE I DON'T LIKE. I CAN'T BLAME MY FAT THUMBS FOR HITTING SOMETHING WHICH ACTIVATES SOMETHING ELSE, THEY DON'T SELL THUMB GUARDS. FOR THE TIME I'VE HAD IT, I SURE HOPE IT STAYS IN THIS CONDITION FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE YEARS. WE'LL SEE.
Excerpt: Okay, I have to say, to me a phone is a phone. Meaning I make calls on it and sometimes text. Now since it seems everyone is texting, especially work related issues, I have had to text more often and now use my phone for more than just calling. That being said when my Casio G'Zone came up for it's end of life upgrade, I found myself wanting yet another durable, near indestructable phone and found that they had all risen out of my price range.
Excerpt: For a beginner smartphone, this phone is great. It is easy to navigate, easy to customize, and has all of the features you need. It responds to the touch well, and has plenty of room on the displays to add important functions to your home screens. It's an android phones, so you can download any android apps for it to specialize it exactly how you want it. I love the purple skin color option, rather than having to choose just a boring grey or black.
Excerpt: I upgraded to this phone for two reasons : 1. Besides being eligible for an upgrade, Best Buy had a Free Smartphone sales event, and 2. I wanted an easy transition from a regular phone to a smartphone. The LG Vortex is a perfect choice for anyone who, like me, was ready for a smartphone but not in need of all the frills of more sophisticated phones like the iPhone or the Motorola Droid.
Excerpt: In November of 2010 my husband got me my first smartphone - LG Vortex (droid). Since he knew that I love LG products, he knew this is the one that I wanted. About 4 months later, I started having problems with it when it was saying that I was running out of internal storage and that my text messages were full. Off and on it still has had the same problems. I've gone in several times deleted the cache, cleared cookies and web history.
Summary: We bought this phone with the belief that one could leave the smart features unavailable through Verizon.. We were mislead when we were told that we could swap this phone with another phone that had died that was not a smart phone. Over Zealous sales people want to screw people into buying upgrades at any costs.. We are disabled and can't afford to play those games they like to play.
Summary: There is not alot to this phone, but for the basic or new smart phone user thats enough. The phone has a camera, simple user interface, google android market and web browsing. And of course has decent call quality. Being used on americas best network, Verizon, it is worthwhile to have. Hopefully, youll enjoy this as much as me.
