LG Vortex Review

26 January 2011
  • Summary: The LG Vortex is a really nice device -- it's got a good design, it's lightweight, has all the benefits of the Android OS platform, and even includes some of the flashier features which are so beloved in this iPhone era we all live in. It's well suited to its role as an entry-level smartphone, not just to those looking for a simple device to satisfy a teenager, or a basic smartphone for minimalist use, but also for people looking to "get the feel" of owning a smartphone...
  • Pros: Excellent price/performance ratio, Good design
  • Cons: No physical keyboard

LG Vortex (Verizon Wireless)

PC Magazine
24 December 2010
  • Conclusion: The LG Vortex, Verizon's version of the excellent LG Optimus One, is not as good as the others thanks to Verizon's bloatware.
  • Pros: Good mix of speed, screen resolution, and features for the price. Runs Android 2.2. Wi-Fi hotspot mode (at extra cost). Great battery life.
  • Cons: Bloatware-infested. Inconsistent UI performance. Difficult to type on virtual keyboard.
