Summary: I use it everyday now and the key features are easy to use, if not up to date it's very useful. I needed a smart phone and had a very low budget, this fit it perfectly and I got it cut on the next week, great service. I like the easy access of the phone overall but the screen features and style is pretty alien to me.
Summary: I love all the features, voice dialing, the Google connection is fantastic. I put a larger sd card in. I wish I could transfer more apps to the card and I wish they did not put twitter and scavenger and facebook on it that I can't delete. My battery lasts quite awhile. The wifi is great. The camera does not have a flash, but I'm not into selfies anyway.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: Actually, I enjoyed the phone, but after three months it crashed for no reason, and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. There are forums, from the time the phone came out to present, asking for solutions for this issue with no answer except to return it. So, like I said, it is an enjoyable phone, and an okay smart phone for the price, but there is an above average chance that it will crash.
Summary: This phone is okay. Have problems sometimes with phone signals and battery runs low too fast. Also if you download an app you don't have choice of where to send it- you can't send it to a SD Card -it goes to internal storage and that shouldn't happen. You should be able to send it to SD card for storage. You also can't choose to stop running background programs with out having issues for phone operation. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Summary: DON'T BUY THIS PHONE! It's a piece of junk, i have had 5 different phones of this same kind and every single time it broke it was the touch that went out, they are always complaining because i call too much because the touch screen keeps going out, im tired of this phone. they need to give me a brand new different phone!
Best option physical keyboard sliderphone for VM Grandfathered plans.

Summary: Bought the LG Optimus Slider after my prior LG Rumor2 died from rainwater. This is my 1st smartphone thus far. 7 months of use as of this review date. After my LG Rumor2 no longer functioned I need something similar, but newer. LG Optimus Slider filled the void. My requirements for a phone is that... 1. Able to put in a small pocket 2. QWERTY Slide-out keyboard 3. Not a basic phone 4. Compatible with my Grandfathered VM Beyond Talk Plan.
Summary: This is a great phone with Android 2.3. It has a slide out keyboard to make typing easier for those that are used to blackberry or texting phones. It only has 512 MB so you have to be careful what you add for apps since they will cause you to run out of memory.
A good phone if you're on a tight budget but there are better alternatives

Summary: Satisfactory: -Battery lasts about a day with heavy use -Runs most apps smoothly -Touch screen has good response -Keyboard has nice spacing with keys Needs improvement: -Needs LED for flash with photos -Better camera image quality (images are blurry) -Old OS -A little tricky to kill running processes/apps -Two-piece plastic cases don't fit well and interfere with the sliding of the keyboard
