Meets or beats iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, bottom line.

angelawwins, Ebay

  • Summary: Its no iPhone or Samsung S4, but it's the next best thing. And for the price and ease of use, you can't beat it. Good operating system, SD memory, easy to use, plenty of features, comparable to all other smartphones. Don't spend $200+ on Apple or Samsung because your friends are dumb.

Loved it new

  • Summary: Now that I've had the Optimus V for over a year, I am constantly getting messages rejected, saying the Memory is Low. I rarely download. I use only a handful of APPs. So I've tried to troubleshoot. Cleared all Text messages. Deleted any upgrades on everyday apps. I'd love to delete the permanently installed Google apps that I never use, but it's not allowed. The phone is slow moving in FB and Google searches. I rarely can watch YouTube without the video hanging.

Decent as an Entry-Level Smartphone

Regala, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews
3 March 2013
  • Summary: I've had the LG Optimus V (for Virgin Mobile USA) for a little over two years now. If you are new to smartphones and are not sure how many tasks you may use your mobile phone to do, this is a good entry-level smartphone to try, Keep in mind: the internal storage capacity is minuscule. Even with added external memory, some apps cannot be moved or do not run well when moved to the external memory.

"Low Memory"

Amusement, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews
9 October 2012
  • Summary: As another user commented, this phone has very little memory! I've had this phone since Nov 2011, brand new out of the box and I keep hitting the low memory limit. I'm very dissatisfied with this phone and I'm glad I did not pay full retail price for it. Low memory is just one of the issues I have with this phone. It constantly freezes, often rejects phone calls and text messages. I'm not a very app-heavy user with my phones, and this phone just will not hold apps.

LG Optimus V Smartphone (Virgin Mobile USA)

nlee25.123, Ebay
26 July 2012
  • Summary: Need improvements : 1. Battery life must be actually 7 days stand by time and 24 hours of whatever activities on the mobile internet and phones. 2. Diagonally 3.2 inches is not enough for bar style smart phone. It should be at least 4.3 inches screen. 3. This phone is not solar powered. If a phone is solar powered, I want solar panel at the front touch screen rather than in the back of the phone. Plus, it can be charged thru wall charger as well. 4.

Best smart phone option for virgin mobile service... otherwise, ummm NO!

whyndchymes, Ebay
3 February 2012
  • Summary: We have several of these phones, using VirginMobile for our service. The phone is decent but a bit slow to respond once you put in one or two apps. Biggest downfall... the batteries are garbage! There is not one redeeming quality about the battery other then it exists. Second biggest downfall, sound. The volume adjustment is insufficient.

Not bad for the price

rrepster, Ebay
6 November 2011
  • Summary: The VG phone service is an affordable solution because it uses the Sprint network which is currently the most affordable cell plan available. The downside to that is limited 3G coverage. Where there is no actual Sprint owned towers they've made partner arrangements with other towers so you get dropped to 1x. For my uses though that is adequate as most of my data uses is at home anyway where I simply connect to my home wireless.
