Excerpt: Hello Ciao Members, I'm just like anyone, I get excited by new gadgets and enjoy a good fumble on a mobile phone. I had my LG phone for appoximately 1 months before anything went wrong on it. Yes, only 1 month. It was a contract phone, within 30 days I found a pixellated screen forming. No I had not dropped it, or left it out in the rain, or anything like that. It just appeared. I complained to my 3 my mobile provider that the phone was a dud, and wanted to change it.
Excerpt: I Had one of these phones on contract with 3 for approximately 8 months. during this time i found that i had very bad network coverage. as my reception got worse bits started to fall off the phone. when i contaced 3 i was told i would have to wait until the end of my contract for a new one. Fair enough i thought... but then i dropped my phone one day. bad move. DO NOT DROP THIS PHONE!! the top half of the phone which contained the screen fell off.
Excerpt: I resently got the LG-U8138 flip phone on the 3 network, i have this phone on contract for 18 months, i got a really good deal with this phone. I got it through Mobile-Fun on the internet, thay gave me a great deal, i got the phone for free with 6 months half price line rental and a cash back voucher for £195 to redeem when i have got my sixth airtime bill.
Excerpt: I've had a mobile for around 8 years now. I've also had about 16 phones and all bar three of them have been Nokias. I like Nokia because I've kind of got used to it, but when my fiancée decided to get me a new mobile for my birthday this year she chose the LG 8138 for me. She has the older model which is the 8110 and I'd had a play around with that and I liked it so I wasn't too concerned. OK it wasn't Nokia, but then again a change is as good as a rest apparently.
Pros: Good screens, decent camera, good reception and features
Cons: Sometimes fiddly to use, no external memory, can't upload you own applications (or can you?)
Excerpt: I got talked into taking this phone when renewing my contract and was a bit dubious at first having heard poor reviews about 3. However, I have never had any problems with it. The phone is easy to use and I found it to have very good reception and the quality of the sound was extremely good. The range of facilities is very good with everything from the internet to lots of ringtones and you can customise the screen to suit your personality.
Pros: It has good reception and the camera gives very good quality pictures
Cons: It is quite big compared to other flip phones
Excerpt: The LG 8138 is the latest phone to be offered on the 3 network. It boasts a stylish silver flip top style handset and is pocket size so you can take it everywhere with you and catch snapshots at the click of a button. LOOKS This is my kind of phone. Silver base handset with the flip top illustrating a light blue colour.
Pros: looks good, most up to date LG phone on the 3 network
