Excerpt: I have an LG Spectrum I purchased in June, 2012. Today is my upgrade date, and I cannot wait. This phone has a few good qualities, but as a whole, it is the worst piece of junk smartphone I have ever owned, bar none. While the large display is nice, from day one, it's slow, sometimes unresponsive, takes forever to "think" when you launch an app, etc. The Bluetooth function has never worked right with my car's built-in Bluetooth (A Kia) OR with a portable Bluetooth.
LG makes great products, and I'm a happy customer.

Summary: I bought this as a replacement when my first, original Spectrum crapped out 7 months short of my contract date with Verizon. I've loved the phone from day one, even with LG's proprietary skin over Android. It's pretty quick, the screen is BEAUTIFUL, and the battery lasts a long time if you're careful about your setup and background data sync frequency.
Summary: My son likes all the bells and whistles. It is fast and easy to use. Concern is very limited battery life, but looking at questions regarding the charger and battery options. Do not think it is the phone.
Nice phone with an abundance of features... good value for an older phone.

Summary: I really love this phone ... although the speaker leaves something to be desired as regardless of volume it is seriously distorted, if you use a good set of ear phones it's better. That aside it's more than I had expected and would be completely stoked if only the microphone worked so I could use it to make/receive phone calls and use the voice features. I really like the HD screen it's nice and clear even in the sunlight.
I will never buy another LG phone, might as well go back to phone booths.

Summary: I have suffered with this phone for a year and a half now. There are not words to express my loathing for this phone! The large screen is great for watching movies on. That is the only positive thing that I can say about this phone, but even that must have an * with it that if you are going to watch more than 10 minutes worth of a movie you have to plug the phone in because you can watch the battery life draining!
I hate making accounts, but this phone really deserves a review

Excerpt: I'm never motivated to bother leaving feedback or reviews - I don't benefit from it, so why go through the trouble? But this phone really deserves a review. First things first - I got a brand new LG Spectrum in September 2012. I formely owned the LG Ally, a QWERTY slider, and I'm a lover of QWERTY sliders. I made the switch because QWERTY sliders just aren't getting the hardware it needs to be useful these days.
Excerpt: Sluggish and slow, cannot wait to dump it but have to wait until Feb or pay full retail for a new smartphone. I read multiple reviews before purchasing last May and should have paid more attention to the reviewer who stated the screen was not very responsive, often requiring two attempts to achieve input.
Pros: It works well as a PHONE
Cons: It works poorly as anything other than a phone
Excerpt: Literally the worst phone I have ever owned. I am writing this review as a warning so that no one else will listen to the jackass salesman and make the same mistake i did. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE, even if you are being held at gunpoint. I would rather be drug through a field of hot coals and thrown underneath of a moving train, all while being forced to listen to National Public Radio, than have to go one more day with this phone.
Does 96% of what the Galaxy S3 / Razr does for a fraction of the cost... ?!
3 July 2013
Summary: This is easily the most undervalued, underhyped phone out there. Gorgeous hi def 4.5" screen, 1.5 gHz dual core processor, holds it's head high among the Galaxy S3's and Moto Droid Razr's, but somehow cost me a fraction what those phones sell for. These people make the Retina displays for Apple, people. Yeah, it "only" as a gb of ram. So does my basic laptop at home. Battery life? At least it has a removable battery!
