Summary: The basic phones are no longer available through Virgin Mobile, for the plan I have with Virgin Mobile. And they can't be found in any of the 'big box stores'. This is one I've used for years. This is my 3rd LG rumor 2. They last a little over 2 years. Easy to use. Battery life is great.
Summary: The cell phone was an exact replacement for a phone stolen from me. However, I was disappointed with Virgin Mobile for not helping the situation. The thief changed my payment plan from the cell phone. After I realized it was stolen, I reported it to Virgin Mobile.
Summary: I came across this phone while looking for something reasonably priced for my teenage daughter's first cell phone. Not only was the phone inexpensive, but the Virgin Mobile plan was considerably cheaper than the phone service I had with Verizon.
Summary: I am coming from using a Droid RAZR on Verizon, so my expectations were low, however I was honestly surprised how easy it was to go back to using a basic phone. I don't miss the smartphone at all. This phone has a nice loud speaker, a micorSD slot, and works fairly smooth.
Excerpt: I have had this phone for a little over a year and it still works very good! I am a huge clutz and this phone is very durable, i have droped it scraped it on the ground and banged it off of things. The keyboard is great, the buttons are not to flat yet the don't stick up too much.
Summary: Summary (or TL/DR version): The phone meets my expectations, and I can live with the few problems at this price of phone and service. Most of the software limitations were easy to fix without much technical know-how.
