Excerpt: I have always loved LG products. And for years every phone I have had, has been an LG. I have loved all of them. I was thrilled when I got my Lg Banter in the mail, and couldn’t wait to use it. I was disappointed. There were many down sides to the Banter. One of them which just happens to be the most important is the fact that it would turn it self off without notice. I didn’t need to have an emergency and my phone turn it self off, while trying to contact help.
Summary: I had to return the item, but I was pleased that the return was so easy. Seems the item was not brand new as advertised. The phone had been activated previously and I could not activate it unless the prior owner was willing to call and tell Virgin Mobil they relinquished their rights to the phone. How do you do that with an Amazon purchase? I'm guessing the seller was caught out like I was and was probably sold a refurbished phone. Oh well, alls well that ends well.
Summary: you know the saying careful of what you wish for this phone, did that for me. i will not but another used phone again. not only was the phone locked it still had the owners picture on the screen saver.
Summary: I purchased this piece of junk the last week of July. It performed OK for someone who's not a heavy cell phone user, no real complaints, although one feature I found annoying was there's no simple menu button to push to see a record of calls as all my other phones have had. So, if you call say, a business you don't often deal with, and get a busy signal or have to call back for some reason, you can't just hit redial - you have to either enter the number in your contacts,...
Excerpt: My daughter bought this phone for her early birthday present for herself and because her old one was having problems and wouldn't work half the time. Her being a teenager, she didn't want to go without one so she went ahead and splurged on the 'Rumor2' over at our local sprint store, thinking she'd be recieving a great quality phone for what she paid. WRONG!!! She is constantly complaining about something or another with this phone.
Excerpt: Let's just say I had it for a week and the camera quit working, so I had to go up to the store and have them trade it out. Another two weeks later the same thing happened. Now, my phone still does it, but I figured out that I have to take the battery out to reset it. It loses signal really easily once I'm out of my home area. It went to rome one time when I was sitting in my room. It freezes up when I use the dual slider. It's really slow.
Summary: I bought this phone brand new, and imagine my chagrin when I was trying to dial numbers or to pick up calls, and little advertisements would knock everything off the screen. I called the service provider numerous times, and they had all kinds of ways to disconnect these programs, but it took several hours of phone calls to finally get all five of the different advertisement programs turned off.
Surprisingly good entry-level smart phone with a MAJOR annoyance

Summary: I downgraded from an HTC Evo 4g to a Samsung Restore (switching from Sprint to Virgin Mobile) due to the outrageous service plan... Then I couldn't take not having a smart phone and the lack of connectivity to email, facebook, etc. so I got this phone. At first it exceeded my expectations, most of my Android apps purchased on my Evo transferred over, albeit the games being a severely downgraded version.
