Summary: Good all around phone for the money. Like the QWERTY keyboard for longer texts. Windows Phone 7.5 seems to work well.... easy to learn and use, although there are some things it needs and probably will be added in ver 8.... screen font is small for old eyes (no way to change it), exporting contacts is not a simple chore and the only way to link desktop/laptop to phone is through Zune (Ugh!). Battery life is very good for a smartphone...
LG Quantum Smartphone - Great for a first time user
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I've only had this phone for about two days, so it's highly possible that I'm jinxing myself by writing this review. So far after spending several hours customizing and setting up my email account, YM, and browsing apps and games I have decided that I am one hundred and nine percent in love with the LG Quantum.I had my previous phone (an LG Shine first gen) for a long time and was very happy with it.
Excerpt: I LOVE this phone. I have had touch screen phones before but I have found this one to be the most responsive with the least missed hits. The QWERTY keyboard is large enough that the keys "stand alone" and I am less likely to hit the key next to the one I want by mistake. I love the fact that with AT&T if I have a wireless connection to my home network (or any Wi-Fi network for that matter) I won't be charged any data usage.
Excerpt: This new phone is so pretty! :) The bright display and responsive touchscreen is completely gratifying. The internet looks great, and the keyboard has a nice, solid touch. However, I got this phone because I'm still addicted to Outlook and I thought it would sync seamlessly. It so doesn't. Unless you have the business software Outlook Exchange (there isn't a home product equivalent), you will not have Outlook on your phone.
Summary: The phone is pretty great, I really love the set up and the windows phone opperating system. Down sides: I take care of the phone with a case and rarely drop it, but I feel like it's extrememly fragile. Sometimes the home screen freaks out for no reason, it makes me wonder how long the phone will last.
Summary: This phone was just awesome, especially with the full slide-out keyboard. I think it's the only Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" device that currently has that. What wasn't to like? It had: - Extraordinarily user-friendly and easy to use. - Built-in voice assistant (web searches, texting your friends by voice, launching apps, etc.) - Built-in GPS and directions - Live tile home screen is a game-changer.
Summary: I have been very comfortable with the interface and the physical characteristics. This is not a flimsy toy for a teenager, and it IS a tool that has added immense value to me personally and professionally. The ease of Windows integration being invaluable.
Summary: Bought this phone to replace the same windows phone that my wife accidentally damaged. She loves this phone except for some reason, this phone shuts down on its own. Other than this occasional annoyance, she loves it--especially the option of either the touch screen or slide out keyboard.
