Summary: When I first got this phone it was great but with all that I do on my device the battery life was not stable. The screen is great with high resolution. Overall a durable phone but you should consider a case of some kind it's slim body makes it vulnerable although very pocketable and lightweight. Here is the kicker after updating the os from gingerbread to ics (ice cream sandwich) the device became very laggy and glitchy. I don't really care for it that much now.
Excerpt: This phone seemed a great buy... $50 and the best resolution, one of the fastest processors, and a lot of system ram and storage? Well... why not? First, it is cheaply built.. my old Galaxy (yes, galazy UNO), was built of metal. This is a cheap phone, the back snaps on and off and feels like it is about to break always. That said, it has a great camera and display... and that is where the good stops...
Pros: Light weight, Good call quality, Great camera, Awesome display
Cons: Cheap looking/built, Internet zoom is very finicky, touchscreen is buggy, Battery life, UI is watered down
Summary: This is a great smat phone running Android Gingerbread. It is very stable, and I enjoy watching movies and streaming audio. I've owned this phone for about 4 months now and as long as you have a charger handy, it's great.
Summary: So, I bought this phone as an upgrade from my old one - this is my first smartphone. Like many, I was incredibly excited to finally join the world of a mobile network, touch screens, apps, etc. And at first, that's what I had. However, almost immediately after turning it on for the first time, I received a notification that I was to be pushed the new, FOTA firmware update for the Nitro HD. "Seems legitimate" I said to myself. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Summary: I had this phone for 2 days and returned it to the store for an exchange. I understand that the combination of the dual core processor, HD screen, & LTE drain battery life but LG's power management on this phone is terrible. I made three phone calls, checked my email, and downloaded a couple of apps and the battery was toast. i literally watched it drain before my eyes. Exchanged it for an HTC Vivid. Much Happier!
Summary: I hardly use my phone, have learned to shut off the wifi when not using it and the battery on this phone doesn't get me through half the day. It's extremely disheartening, being my first smartphone and all. Other than the poor battery life, everything else is as expected. There are no surprises with this phone, which, in my opinion, is a good thing.
