i bought it for my dad as his first smartphone and he loved it

Summary: It is worth the price, camera is only 5 megapixels but still takes good quality pictures, it has a long lasting battery. One of the things I liked the most is the almost soft battery cover on the back this will help a lot when not in a case.
Summary: After a lot of research I ordered the P768, the international version of the LG Optimus L9. I ordered the P768 instead of the P769 for the better camera (8MP), slightly larger screen and the FM radio. The phone I recieved came in a new, factory sealed box and is indeed the P768 as ordered (seller was HeavyDuty Electronics). I live in California, so this review will be based on using the phone in the United States. Being the international version as opposed to the U.S.
Summary: I have owned this phone for a little over 6 months. Over all it performs nice and comes with Jellybean My only complaint is low internal storage space (but that can be fixed with a micro SD card).
Summary: I'm with T-Mobile and needed a new phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini international phone(great phone by the way), but it doesn't have WIFI calling (only T-Mobile branded phones do) and that feature is very important to me. I got the LG Optimus L9 and gave the Samsung to my wife. Here is my review. It's what's called a mid-level phone. The high-level phones have faster processors, better screens, more memory, 4G LTE, features like auto-brightness - the list goes on.
Summary: I like this phone because of the large clear screen. It is easy to use and getting around on it is easy. The only thing I don't like is that the "swiping" for phone answering does not always work. Everything else on the touch screen works really well, but I often miss answering calls because it won't answer and I have to call the party back. Otherwise, a great phone.
Summary: The phone itself is a great device. Sound is good. Picture is great. Internal memory is a bit stingy, but I added a nice big SD card and can store a lot of files there. However, I have problems with it in using Bluetooth audio devices. Phone calls work great, but media audio will not, even with LG Bluetooth speakers designed for media usage, like the LG HBS700 Tone Plus. Also, they are way behind in keeping the Operating System up to date.
