Excerpt: The LG octane which is available from Verizon is an update from the LG EnV3, that is why it is also called the EnV4. As you probably know the EnV series is being around for a few years now and is pretty popular.
Summary: It's a love/hate relationship. I know, by now, everybody has a "smart" phone and basic phones may a well be rocks, but this is what my current plan allows me to use and I just don't really need a "smart" phone anyway (getting old thing). I need durable phones too. The phone works well in most every way except, as others have said (and I seem to have ignored), YOU CAN'T HERE IT RING !! unless you work in a library or someplace quiet. And IT DOESN'T VIBRATE HARD ENOUGH !!
Summary: Very easy and seamless to activate with Verizon. She has been using this for over a year and has not had any issues. This is her second time having this same phone so we knew she liked it. The keyboard inside is helpful for her with texting.
Summary: Do Not buy from cellular seller.. I purchased this phone and they said it was in very good condition. When I received it the front screen was so scratched up I couldn't read it and it's constantly freezing up so I have to pull the battery at least twice a day. I notified the seller and they said they would send out a phone in better condition! When I received the phone it was in worse condition than the first both screens are scratched and the hinge is extremely loose...
Summary: This phone is really light and so small that it is unbelievable how great it works. My husband, who is not "smart phone" adaptable can actually navigate this phone with no problems. He likes the slide key board.
Summary: I miss my LG Octane! I left it in the pocket of my pants when I did the laundry. Since, I had to have a phone right away, I bought a Samsung u380 Brightside. The Octane nor any full keyboard flip phone was sold anymore at the store I shop at. The Octane was so easy to use and very rugged(except for it is not waterproof :-( ). I don't like smartphones cuz I can't type on the things; I fat finger them or have to repeatly touch the same 'key' to input.
